Dont bother. If you are not intelligent or patient enough to look it up and find the info which is repeated a thousand times on this site, you dont have what it takes to be one.

You have to be an uber player grind-o-matic, master sh!tloads of professions then get lucky and unlock your force sensitive slot. To do this you need loads of money, loads of time and resources, and loads of money and luck.

Or, in a slightly more friendly manner...

In a nutshell, the current system calls for you to master (at least) 5 random professions. If you want specific help in figuring out 4 of those missions, you must obtain items called Holocrons, which will tell you 4 of the 5 professions. The fifth you must find out on your own. The system is currently undergoing a redesign, so if you don't like the sound of the current system, wait a couple of months and it will be entirely different.

Having said all of that, please please please take a minute and research your topic before posting threads like this. There is an entire forum here dedicated to the Jedi profession, and you will find many answers there.

ok, i came into this game when no one was completely sure how to become a Jedi, then after all the holos given out after Christmas, it was like a Jedi craze! One of my friends on the Tempest server got to his silent and mastered almost every profession. I was amazed by him, he mastered 10 professions in like a month when i was finally mastering my first prof in marksman. This is an amazing player, very dedicated to his guild, but still just in it for fun, we are also r/l friends so i know how he is really thinkiing toward the game. Now I feel sorry for this player who essentially gave up on Jedi because he felt he wasted his work for nothing. Now he might have just gone completely around that ONE prof he needed to master, but now that Jedi is being changed, he might not ever get there...I truely feel sorry for him, and all the other players that this has happened to, sorry just had to get that out. And i also feel sorry for people like me who get a prof like Sumuggler and they dont even finish, lol, but I really hope that this Jedi quest is not as hard as mastering 20 prof like my friend did

I hope it's hard as hell, SOE will piss off all the people who started down the holocron path THEY introduced and then compounded that path by giving everyone and their mama's dog, a holo for christmas. Not to mention all the players who did 15-20 or even 30 professions to get their FS slot. I'm not whining or threatening, but if the quest system proves to be doable by a week of npc quest camping, or even a month, I'm looking towards WoW.

I agree lightsaberfreak. Those dedicated individuals who spent countless hours grinding away to unlock there slots should be comended. To suddenly create a new system that was easy for any master character to unlock is quite simply an insult to their dedication and patience.

If the new system is easier than the holo grind then I feel the developers are obligated to some how give the individuals who unlocked there slots a reward of some kind. A new power, a lightsaber withought decay, a heapfull of jedi xp at least.

I was forced to quite the game for several months for personal reasons, right before the holocrons came out Just recently I returned and rather than reopen my old character I felt obligated to create a knew one on a different server since I had spent so much time away from it.

Once I returned i heard all about the hologrind and how the first lucky individuals had unlocked there force sensitive slots. I can assure you now that I would never have finished the hologrind. I created a different character and attempted to do it but I soon realized that it was far to stressfull and you could never really sit down and get used to one proffesion because you were already getting xp for your next. Once I heard that a quest system was to be implemented I stoped and decided that I would master my prefered proffesion and attempt the quest when the time came.

I honor all those who succesfully completed the hologrind and assure you that although I would enjoy a simple quick process to get my slot I hope that the quest is long, tedious, dangerous, and hard; or if it is easy that you be comended in some great benevolent way.

There has been a lot of talk about how limited and alike dark Jedi and light Jedi skills are. Well, I had an interesting idea today for at least the Dark Jedi skill trees, since I dont think it would fall into the Light Side of the Force.

We all know how a CH can tame a animal and then train and use them as a pet. Well, what if a Dark Jedi could land on say, Dathomir and Jedi MInd Trick (Tame) a NS or other high level NPC? The NPC would then be able to be trained and would act as a bodyguard/pet for the Jedi for as long as the Jedi was on the planet or until the NPC died. They couldnt be stored for later use, as that would be pretty un-balanced. And, with higher jedi skills, higher level NPC's become tamable, just like in CH. Also, to keep it balanced, a pet NPC could become set-free by a light jedi or perhaps as just a random check against their Force Powers, and turn against his master. So, the higher level the NPC, the greater the risk of using them.

What do you think?

Great idea but it would be hard to counter balance this for the light jedis as well as other players who most likely would be very angry since it would give the dark jedis a big advantage
