Thread: Your Target Is Not Online
I have had some fun tonight..
3 jedi offline
4 jedi on kash
3 AFK house sitters..
Logged off and played alt lol...
Please dont let the door hit you on your way out ..TY
My experience so far with the new changes...
Did alot of missions today. The first 3 or so where all without any hassle. Got the mission, got buffed, used seekers, drove there, killed the guy, took a new one and repeated that.
I had some target not online over the day and most in a row were about 3 or so at 20cet, then I mostly had luck. Dropped 8 fulltemps 1 gimp so far, but since several minutes I only get "target not online"... Im kinda pissed since that happened over 10 times in a row now.
Seekers using "seek target" also not always giving you the name. needs work.
Thanks for listening
C'mon stop whining about offline Jedi get out there and hunt. After all, a "real" bounty hunty wouldn't cry about such things! This patch separates the men from the boys, blah blah blah...

I've had 3 offline Jedi in a row. The system that checks if the Jedi is offline is obviously broken. I doubt very much that every single BH who has encountered this selected Jedi who coincidentally decided to log off 2 minutes after accepting the mission.
Goodness, the Devs couldn't even get an online/offline check to work.

Yeah and it took months before SOE fixed the original Target Not Online bug. "Working as intended" anyone?

Its hard to tell if this is a bug or game breaking or an exploit. But really its probably any of them since the publish just went live yesterday. YOu have to remember that for all the jedi (which is alot) to get on the terms they might actually log when u get the mission. I mean from my friends list before Publish 20 I still saw jedi constantly logging in and out.
On the technical side you have got to give the system time to update. Think of all the jedi and all the people tracking them, and the lag it would cause if the terminals and peoples loctaions and status was updated on the terms every second? It wouldn't be good, I don;t know about time and the programming invovled but for me even a delay of 5 or 10 minutes is enough, after all you are not loosing any droids and its just going to be one of those things. Is it really that bad that you need walk back to the terms in kardaar (or drive) which takes like 10 seconds to get another mission?
Its not really game breaking and there are lot more other things that are more important between the jedi and bh to get fixed
There is no lag involved at all if you do it like this:
1. Jedi are added to the terminals when they log on, if their visibility is high enough
2. Jedi are removed from the terminals when they log off, if they were on terminals

Actually, yes, it is bad. You're not looking at it from the macro level. It takes a minute to run back and forth. Since the terminals obviously do not filter real-time offline Jedi out, all of them are included. So the pool of names you are drawing from contains a large amount of offline Jedi whom you could choose at anytime since you do not know if it is a Jedi you've chosen before. You could pull offline Jedi 30 times in a row, which translates to 30 minutes of the boring, tediousness of going back and forth between the informant and the terminals. Now assuming you do get one that is online, chances are great that it is a Jedi on kashyyk, in which case you would have to drop it as well.
Go to my post history and read my 2 hour test of the new system. It took 2 hours to pull 2 missions. That's one mission per hour -- which is really, really, really stupid. Also since it's a random mission, there's a good chance you'll get a FotM Jedi with an exploited pre-CU saber and exploited pre-CU flawless pearls who will knock you out in 3 hits if you get hit with the KD recovery bug. This translates to working for one hour to find a Jedi who killed you in 6 seconds because of the KD recovery bug.
This really is a big deal. You would know this if you actually hunted large numbers of Jedi.
