are they working ? I heard something about dammage fix...What are they worth now and whats their dammage vs jedi ? Do you guys use them ?

they are working and when I used one with 39 power on a master defender it did 300 or 400 damage. woot owned!

Im pretty sure PRe-Cu they werent attackable however twice now ive tested them 1 on a jedi and 1 on a kimo and both times they were knocked out. Is this a bugg or intended cause if it is they are totaly useless.

Well,


1. The Kimo - they attack anything around them with AOE an awful lot now, including speeders and stuff. So maybe that's why it blew up.


2. The Jedi - I'm assuming you tested it with a /duel. Once you duelled the Jedi, your droid, bike, creature, whatever is attackable to the Jedi. A Bounty Hunter doesn't /duel a Jedi, they have first strike..until then a BH is just like anyone else around the Jedi until damage is inflicted. The BH merely puts the bomb droid on follow on the Jedi, then gives it the command to detonate. Once it does, kaboom - and the Jedi can attack the BH and any other droid they call. But they will not be able to attack the first bomb droid, since first strike is the exploding droid.


3. If I'm way off base, anyone feel free to correct me.

1. Gotcha on that I forgot about the aoe attacks.

2. The jedi was a mission had it on follow target and as soon as I engaged the jedi the droid went down without the option for me to detonate.

Once you entered combat the Jedi probably took down the droid, and once the droid was down it can't be detonated until its stored and called again.

Did it follow the Jedi, and you then shot the Jedi? Or did it follow, you told it to detonate, and before the countdown was over the Jedi killed it?


If you have it on follow and then shoot the Jedi/attack the Jedi yourself, then yeah he can attack the bomb droid and knock it out. The second you personally attack him any pet you have called is attackable by them.


Just like if you were a Creature Handler - if you had your rancor out, and then made it follow the Jedi, then you hit/shot the Jedi yourself, the Jedi could hit the rancor before you could tell it to attack (though, rancors fight back - droids don't unless they have a combat module in them or they're Probots).


To hit the Jedi with your first strike, and not get your bomb droid knocked out before it can detonate, use the droid as your first strike. Here are the steps to take:


Call droid.


Put on follow on the Jedi. They will not be able to attack the droid at this point.


Tell the droid to detonate (do NOT attack the Jedi yourself, your droid gets first shot by detonation)


After droid counts down, it will blow up. You are now attackable by the Jedi and can shoot at them to your heart's content.

Yea you need to have the Droid blow up first. I use /detonatedroid, then go to Sniper Shot right away. Both end up hitting them at about the same time. Works pretty well.

It has been so long since I used one of those darn things. They were never really worth the time or effort. Can anyone remind me hos to use them? I would like to send one out from time to time but have to know what to do with them. No idea lol. I think it would be nice while they are fighting in like Cnet to just roll one up on them and *BOOM*. I like the nice 80m death blow from my cyber arms just for the jedi in Cnet. Let someone else do the hard part hehe. The devs did say it was up to us to choose when and where to kill them. I think them getting incapped in a duel is a perfect time.

They dont seem to be working anymore, as far doing any damage goes. They still have a visual and audio effect, but no dmg, at least not to NPC's. I think the devs need to reconsider them, but obviously the damage would need to be reduced in the CU greatly, because they could used to do up to 6k dmg to a player.

They could be balanced if they nerfed their dmg to be like around 1200 maybe, because I used to incap unbuffed players with them (MS)- I dont think that would fly to well in the CU. But maybe 800-1200 dmg, with a KD chance- to start the fight out with a bang is what I miss..

they do a bit of dmg, if you get their health a lit low then hit a droid with a adv critical it can do good dmg really fast. droids alone don't do much anymore though. to use a droid, call it from inventory (or datapad). program it to follow other, then tell it to follow your mark. you have to be pretty close to use the radial menu to detonate it though (unless i don't know of some command). count down starts and boom.
