Your idea is sooo stupid, i don't know where to begin. Jedi have two advantages that make penalties for BH unfair: Jedi are more powerful and are likely to win a fight, and It is really easy for a jedi to escape.
If youcan't handle being hunted by BH's don't become a jedi. Stop the whinning and accept that you will be hunted.
If anything i'd support increasing the penalty for Jedi deaths. Maybe turning jedi into blue glowies for a few days if they die to a BH or bringing back xp loss upon death.Weed the weak jedi out.
And yes i am a jedi and i've never played a BH.

Right... because before the CU there was never any griefing going on, it's all the respecers. The 20 man gank squads on one investigation 3 BH was all respec... no wait, that was pre CU. The /duel to lock a mark from attacking you was all respec... wait, that was pre CU too. The res-killing to put someone in a 4 mil exp hole surely was from respecers... no wait, that was pre-CU too. Hmmm, well, anyway, I am sure the bounty hunter forums were just full of mutual respect for Jedi before the CU... no wait, it was a hate filled forum even then. Respec had very little to do with the behavior of bounty hunters.
The real reason that bounty hunters don't want to have Jedi penalties lessened is any lessening of the grief caused lowers their thrill at causing it, for the most part. Remember, these are the people that post things like, "The fact that he's going to have to grind 4 more weeks to get out of that hole I put him in makes it that much sweeter."
The real reason that bounty hunters won't ever agree to any form of penalty on their end of the equation, even being put on the boards themselves if they fail (which ought to fit right in for people that profess to enjoy PvP) is that they're in bounty hunter to bully, and no bully wants to be bullied back.

So jedi get no reward in the current system?
The are allowed to BE jedi... thats all there is.
In a world where they are supposed to be extinct, this seems to be a pretty neat reward. Or am I missing something here?
Reward jedi? Permadeath gone, XP loss from non-player deaths gone, vis from group members gone, jedi's name from terminals gone, Kashyyyk...
All things come attached with a price and thats the price to be jedi, the alpha profession. I dont mind that they run, I would be happier if they would be concerned of not getting vis though.

You know, you shouldn't try to judge on everybody taking your kind, Jedi, as the starting point. Not everybody needs to compensate a lack of mental development with a glowstick and especially those who actually have a clue about MMORPG and Star Wars don't need it.
