its really getting old, i know i know im beating a dead jedi/dead horse, but for gods sake, the dev's need to address this, people who use /duel /end duel are clearly using it in a manner not intended, they need to just remove the cannot duel message cause player can already attack you message., or start giving the people who use it a suspension or something, and maybe they would stop doing it.

just the other day i was going through dantooine, minding my own business, and out of no were i get the /duel /endduel message, so i /tell the guy "hey you know thats a exploit dont you, he /tells me back says you know now ones gives a $hit dont you.... its just prof that they know they can use exsploits and can get away with it.

Way to lump an entire profession all together lol. Is there no end to the Stereotypes? Lol. Dude if you are ever on Bria, I hope you pull my mission. Would love to put you face down in the dirt. On a side note, have a bad ass BH as well as a Jedi, and I have no problem when people try to /duel me. Just tells me they are aware of their surroundings, as a jedi should be. Never know when some two bit Newb is gonna come try and take your EXP

While this /duel exploit is completely harmless, i remember a time when BHs were abusing a duel exploit to be invincible. If have been seenyou already blew your cover.

When you see BH coming I think /duel is just common sense. If your coming for your mark dont have your MBH-tag up and try to bring some friends too.... Before jedi has time to /ex and /duel you all, you have gotten your first strike in allready and started the fight.

i dont use that. i think its cheap.

but one guy in my Crew got so tired of people doing the /duel /end thing, that he wrote a macro that accepted duel, Underhand shot him and then /end.

its pretty wicked when the idiot jedi stands up scratching his head and saying what the hell just happened

Eh, no. The basics of any good stealth isn't "not to be seen", but "not to be noticed". They can suspect I'm a BH all they want, but the mark being suspicious and the mark running away are two different things. Since they instantly confirm their suspicion, well...

Yeah.. definately beating a dead horse.

I get it all the time as well, and you know what? i don't care. It just tells me "daymn.. i should have been more careful sneaking up on this guy" if its someone with my mission. If its in like MO, I do exactly what one of the previous posters said. I hit 12 to /duel, KD and /end. Its all in good fun that way and you all get a few laughs.

Its a game. Don't get so worked up over it..

I really like the idea of the /duel, /kd, /end macro. Only question, can they be done after you get the message, or do you have to imediately hit it before you get the end message

I've had it used on me by a SF gank squad Jedi. If he knows I don't have his mission by using the /duel exploit, he knows there's no chance of me killing him when he uncloaks. That's an exploit plain and simple. If a Jedi makes an in-game decision using knowledge that he wouldn't otherwise have (the knowledge that I don't have his mission) it's an exploit.

And I really, really don't care at all that it came about because of a BH exploit and am getting what I deserve because I wasn't even playing the game when they fixed it.

The duel exploit has been fixed. I pulled a mission last week and went after my mark. When I get to my mark's grind group I received a duel request from my mark.

The request went through so I accepted, and the jedi tried to end duel but couldn't figure out why the duel was still going, lol.

So the /duel no longer gives the jedi a system message saying you can't duel. Two guild jedi also verified this by dueling the bh after them and the request going through.

Time to be sneaky, sneaky.

Duel should be changed so if you duel someone you cannot end for five mins so even if the bh does not have your mission he can still fight you and you cant end the duel for five mins

also if you have a jedi mission and he duels you it should start combat so they cant make a break for it and hide in a house

I saw a suggestion posted on here the other day, foget who it was by though.

Get a Jedi friend to duel you when youre nearby your mark, then run past your mark whilst shooting your jedi friend, The mark will in theory ignore you as he thinks you are already on a mission. Its hardly the most subtle thing but its another tactic to have under your belt incase you need it.

Done this one! It worked out great, but you can only use it in select situations. I pulled a mission when you could still get the names, sent a /tell to a friend on the same planet, turned out they were in the same group. At a range of 100m, I was able to accept the duel from my friend, and proceeded to attack her. She made it look VERY good... during the fight, the group stopped hitting the lair and gathered around the fight. The Jedi apparentally satisified that I wasn't after him didn't have any combat macro's running and was out of foods.... no buffs whatsoever.

I immediately, hit him with a KD, starle, divingshot, sniper, critical, deathblow. It was over, and he never stood back up. Dunno if it was the KD bug, or the shock of being flatbacked like that.
