Well..

Would you come back for a new and improved SWG ?A game whereall the issues that drove you from this game were fixed...never to be seen again.

If you had a say in how things were done in the new game, how would you do it?

what would most likely happen is SOE wouldadd so much content to the game instead of fixing bugs that it would litteraly break the game completely for every class in the game. They would completly give up on SWG1 and release SWG2 this time jedi and other elite professions from the start. You wanna be a jedi? ok select it in your character creation screen, name, hair do , saber color and ur off... want to hunt the jedi? ok, select bounty hunter, select your mando armor variant and off you go. There would be no more master titles, box leveling, just grab your weapons and knock each other out.

that's funny! I hope it will be the opposite. I hope they make it almost imposible to get Jedi, for example, to get Jedi one must solo an a krayt while fighting Vader in the DWB...or somthing like that. I hope I almost never see a Jedi in that game. Plus they would have to kill all the bugs aswell.

could never be a "perfect" swg 2...peoples opinions differ too much. on one side theres the people who don't think jedi should be in game, on the other theres the people that think jedi should be a profession available from start...and people that fall between. and thats just on jedi...thousands of other issues. Even those few diehards who think shots from a blaster or strikes from a saber should be one hit deaths.

As long as there is a chance to get Jedi I think we would still see alot of Jedi around. If there were a SWG2 I dont want to see any player Jedi at all. The only Jedi we see should be really high end mobs, NPCs.

No, because as we all know, when developers/marketers are trying to Sell a new game they will come on all the gamer magazines and talk the good talk like politicians on a campaign trail.......and we all knowwhat usually happensafterwards..... Case in point...

"We'll we're really keeping Jedi, the Jedi System, under wraps right now because we want Jedi to be rare and mysterious in the game. We want it to feel like it does in the movies where Jedi are kind of a rare breed. We will say that really the core of it is becoming Force Sensitive. Once you become Force Sensitive your progression through the Jedi ranks is pretty straight forward and follows a lot of the rules we've established already for some of our other skill systems. But the Force Sensitivity aspect is the thing that we're not really talking about. We do have a system in place, it takes into account a wide range of variables, it's different for every player, and no player is excluded from it, so you can't make a wrong choice when you're making up your character that will keep you from becoming a Jedi. That's not the way it works. Everybody has an equal opportunity."
Haden, XGR Interview

Your Jedi character lives in a world of constant danger, and when a Jedi dies, he's permanently dead (your other characters will respawn at a cloning facility). Jedi are also targets for NPCs and potentially other players. This will make surviving as a Jedi long enough to advance to Jedi Knight or Jedi Master status very difficult."
Haden, IGN Interview

"They will be very hard to become, and very very very rare. And we will continue to adjust the system to keep it that way. (I know, here I go tantalizing ya withuot any concrete details again... )"
Raph, Dec 2000

"Is the game going to exercise a degree of control over whether you become a Jedi? Absolutely. After all, it also exercises a degree of control over whether you become anything else in the game. Will those who wish to become Jedi be able to work towards it? Yes. Will they for sure make it? No, it is not guaranteed. But the opportunity is always there should they decide to travel that rough road. We intend to keep Jedi rare, and we will tweak the system on an ongoing basis to ensure that they stay that way (again, something we have stated before). Yes, it is our *opinion* that Jedi will be very very very rare, but we're also planning on working until they ARE because otherwise we would not be faithful to Star Wars. (And yes, we believe we can make it fun to boot). BTW, being a Jedi or Force sensitive in the time period the game is set in ain't no picnic."

LucasArts has laid off all internal development teams not too long ago. They only have PR, marketing and licencing staff plus a few Producers (as Haden Blackman is/was for SWG) who supervise development and give thumbs up/down on proposals brought to them by the development leads. LucasArts is fully concentrating all its efforts on licencing and cooperation with LucasFilms. I would personally say that's a good thing because LucasArts themselves have never really produced any HQ titles when they were still developing stuff in-house (some of the adventures might have been OK-ish but I don't play adventures so that's based on hear-say and the positive reviews some of the older adventures like Sam & Max, Full Throttle etc have received).
