Thread: Bounty Hunter Private Shuttles...

A big problem right now is that bounty hunters are being banned from cities left and right...just for doing their job. If you have been a hunter for a while, then chances are you have killed the jedi pet of some town and they quickly ban you from the city...in fact chances are you have been banned from many many different towns.

Now this doesnt keep the bounty hunter from shuttling INTO the town, but it does make the bounty hunter have to ride back to the closest other shuttleport. Keeps us from using the player made network of shuttleports to track our targets as well...so as a bounty hunter becomes more known and feared...the harder it becomes for him to play as a bounty hunter?

Simple fix would be to let us hire private shuttles to drop us at points on the planet we are on...then land (the shuttle landing graphic they have now) and wait for the bounty hunter for 1 hour before it leaves. Very simple, lets bounty hunters move around faster and doesnt make us depend on the network of player shuttles....it would also be VERY simple to put into the game. Make it master bounty hunter only ability...and cost 5k or something a little higher to keep people from using it as normal transportation. Also only usable on planets that player cities are on....

another fix is to hop on a speeder and enjoy the countryside on a nice leisurely drive across the planet........ to find a mark parked safely away in a house..... Then enjoy the uber sounds of all the vulgarities bouncing around in your head as you drive allllllll the way back to nearest Starport.

thats not a bad idea.

maybe any MBH who has a Firespray could land at certain points on planets that aren't cities.

another fix is to clone & insure when you land on planet and intentionally die post-mission.

Other than that, waaaaah. You knew this could happen when you took up the profession of murdering people.

Just on a point of fact being banned *does* stop you shuttling into a town.

Some cities protect jedi for a reason?...I know they do, because the mass number of jedi on the servers...chances are every city has a few jedi in it. Either alts or friends...or anything. So a bounty hunter that goes around killing jedi from terminals will eventually end up killing a large number of those jedi...and to get "revenge" they will ban the hunters from each other their cities.

Its not a problem when there is just another town 1k away to shuttle to...but some time later you will find that shuttle closed also, until you have just the NPC shuttles to use (good thing the game doesnt ban you from using the shuttles too...). Towns down around jabbas....its a long ride down there and when you are tracking a moving target you cant spend 10 minutes ridding out in the middle of nowhere (only for them to end up being afk in a house or for them to shuttle out right before you get there? wee fun)

This isnt about "jedi vs bounty hunters"...this isnt about anything but making the GAME more fun and less frusterating.

Had a simple idea that might solve this.

What if the game was changed so from the point in time you took the mission or maybe when you arrived on planet to track the mark you lost your name-tag and became just "a bounty hunter".

Would fit more the feel of the game in my opinion, why should you know the name of your mark, he/she/it is just the mark, ditto for you assassination targets are rarely on first name terms with the bounty hunter.

It would solve the banning problem as they wouldnt know who to ban, unless you chose to tell them....

I tend to agree that there is no problem just proposing a solution for those who feel there is. Wouldnt be a bad idea anyway I think.

I am banned from at least 20 cities on my server. It sucks. The profession sucks too now.
