Thread: Why do Jedi stand in a structure AFK?

This has happened to me 3 straight times now and I am wondering what the point of it is. I am sure there is a reason for it but I can't figure it out. I get a mission, track the Jedi and find him inside a building. I can't get into the building so I act like I am using a terminal of some kind. I would stand there for 15 mins, sometimes more and he wouldn't move an inch. I could target one and he wasn't even buffed. Just standing there. Finally I dropped the mission to get another one and had the same thing happen. Oh well, grab another one and same thing! So now I might just keep this mission and wait it out. However, is there a reason for Jedi going AFK in a locked structure? Sure he is safe but why even be ingame and take that risk?

  • getting something to eat/drink

  • walking the dog

  • making phonecalls

  • found a funny episode on the TV

  • friend came by for a visit

I'm sure there are plenty more reasons

lol ok. Here I thought there was some kind of indepth reasoning behind it.

Well if you're planning on waiting one out, try using cover. Your sig says you're MRifles. Hide outside his house about 60m away (If possible). Get your conceal shot in as soon as he shows his face. Usually you can catch them off guard pretty well, as well as lay down a bump of damage.

But yes, it is a mystery to me. I have no idea what they do behind those closed doors. And quite frankly, I don't wanna know. Jedi are into some kinky sh*t!

LOL!

Well I am just not really sure on how visibility and terminals work. I thought maybe if enough BHs take a Jedi mission and then drop it maybe it would be taken off the terminals. I am not sure how it works so was thinking of reasons why be AFK ingame at all when there is a penalty on death.

I've been able to hit a Jedi standing in a guild hall once. Unfortunately they weren't AFK enough.

If I do ANYTHING away from keyboard, I head to my hidey hole, whether I believe I'm on the terms or not. If you find a JEdi who doesn't, the he is A) full temped and cares not for xp loss, B) has no hidey hole, C) Stupid.

Because they are AFK maybe?.... I dont know for sure like... but its fairly safe to assume that if they are in there they might actually be AFK....

A smart BH will simply throw up a seeker and see if the waypoint moves. If it is not, he is afk in a house. In the meantime, chit chat or browse the vendors...soon after go get another mission.

Seems like the logical answer to me. Hmm I have two choices stay outside AFK or stay safe inside AFK.
