The following is a brief generality of what it costs to be a successful [successful defined as finding the Jedi, and killing an Initiate who is AFK'ing or LD, but no higher]Jedi Hunting BH going after your FIRST JEDI EVER:

(Keep in mind: JEDI ROBES DON'T DECAY............ One less cost they have that the rest of the games playersaren't exempt from...) These costs are only accurate from Novice BH to Investigation 3 (DOING NO OTHER TREES) and then the cost before you even see your first lightsaber....

Starting Funds to move about and initial costs (including costs of two speeders, various weapons, costs of training from NPC's, buff sessions if you don't do them until elite, etc PRE-Nov BH if you watch your cash): 700,000

---

High level LLC or Elite Class Weapon: 50,000

Full high end comp with stun at a DECENT (not elite level including slice): 900k armor - 300k slice set: 1,200,000

Cloning costs: 100,000

Travel from Nov BH to Invest 3: 1,600,000

(Every five marks you spend 50,000 for droids if you find them CHEAP, travel to a single mark assuming it's not on an advanced planet and if you're good and know your jumps runs roughly 5,000. If it's on an elite planet, you're now spending 120,000 every five missions for droids and jumps. That's why most BH's drop the mark when on Dath, Endor, or Yavin.)

Pre-Jedi Buff: 10,000

Second speeder if the Jedi nails yours and bolts: 30,000 (if you find it cheap)

PSG: 100,000

Weapon replacements between Nov BH and Investigation 3, at least 2 more weapons: 100,000

One set of armor replacements OR a full set repair so you're 100% when you go after them minus the slice: 900,000

Faulty missions (prepatch which most of us are): 500,000 (which CAN be discarded with P9.1, but it's still cash I and most others spent).

FULL COST AT THIS POINT: 3,890,000

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now this assumes you get the cheapest of EVERYTHING, never tip your doc, train no other skills, trees, weapons disciplines, or play in any other part of the game. Given that fact, your only income is to run missions which pre-Inv 3 run 15k per mission. So in other words, IT COSTS YOU TWICE WHAT IT TAKES TO HUNT A JEDI FOR THE FIRST TIME JUST TO REACH INVEST 3.

Keeping in mind that Jedi are currently worth a 15k return, your total costs for running a single Jedi mission, just to be able to run the mission and have the absolute poor-man's cheapest gear runs you 3,875,000 PER MISSION to keep your armor on down at 100%. Just so you can hunt something that has complete resists against you, and you have 0 resists even with top of the line armor against it's weapon.

Now if you want to have a decent chance to beat the Jedi, and not counting the time it takes to get these things multiply by thepercentage the Jedi are currently stronger than regular professions, divided by 100. Since Jedi are currently 20% stronger, multiply by 5.

NEW TOTAL FOR A JEDI INITIATE LEVEL KILL WITH "DECENT" EQUIPMENT (assuming they are AFK'ing and you kill them with no harm to yourself and 0 resistance): 19,375,000

Multiply by 5. (Assuming Knights are ONLY 20% stronger than Initiates, which they aren't. But I'm giving the Jedi the benefit on this one using the lowest number possible.)

96,875,000 FOR JEDI KNIGHT LEVEL KILL WITH "DECENT" EQUIPMENT IF THEY DON'T FIGHT BACK AND YOU ARE FULL PREPARED.

Granted this includes recurring travel costs, armor replacements, and just about every expense save the cost of the prerequisite professions. But you do the math. Elite equipment and you just topped 1bil creds. Bill Gates must have a toon in SWG.This is just the CASH side of things, it's not even the combat portion yet, and you've already gotten run over... God forbid you spend this kind of cash, and they win... Or get that lightsaber "armor destroy" mod they want? You know the rule by now, multiply your cost by 5. And then they get one tree of their Force powers fixed which do damage armor or let them do damage to you then escape, multiply by 5.

Ya know what, I haven't even added in the costs of crates for Synthsteaks, Brandy, Thatakillo, Halva, weapon powerups, or any of the option stuff yet... Let's say you only need one set, and you find a REALLY nice guy who loads you up for 1.5 mil....

COST OF KILLING A JEDI INITIATE WHO NEVER FIGHTS BACK JUST TO BE ABLE TO DO MORE DAMAGE THAN HIS HAM HEALS UNBUFFED, UNMEDITATING, WITH NO DEFENSE ASIDE FROM HIS LIGHTSABER AND JEDI ROBES:

(drumroll please)

20,875,000 credits to kill an AFK'ing Jedi Initiate, barely prepared to run away from him, with justenough powerups to not get killed if he comes off AFK, and survive one hit with a LS then run.

OH! BUT WAIT! We get 15k if we kill them. - . - In other words, you don't get enough money in mastering the Investigation tree (Novice BH to4xxx)TWELVEtimes from rewards, in orderto kill your first Jedi Initiate. Bounties aren't worth ****.

20.9mil,vs. 15k. Even if they put it back up to 150k You'd have to kill a LARGE number of Jedi to make this system work. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT! I say we use this same type of math they use for BH rewards,with the Dev's checks. >: }

That's all class. Next week, we will discuss why you do NOT require college level theoretical mathmatics in the workplace. The Dev'shomework for the evening is practicing "Would you like fries with that?"

Hmmm. This is being posted in the Jedi forum. As such and for no other reason, I accept in advance that by tomorrow morning this post will have so many one-stars that it won't be able to be rescued. Those who read this and are REASONABLE however, will understand that it's simple mathmatics and as such can hardly be called a flame or one-starred as it's all but fact. You don't have to agree with mathmatics, but they are concrete, and as such are not up to opinion, only scrutiny and pure fact. All of the following numbers are based on the set base price for items as of this afternoon on July the 18th of 2004.

Ok I really shouldn't have to point this out to you but well sadly you are an idiot. Pure mathmatics? Much of what you posted was pure dribble. I couldn't help but laughing at your costs for being a bounty hunter. I'm a jedi yes. I had to do bounty hunter to unlock. Took me one week, and about 200k in credits. I don't know where the hell you buy your **edit** from but you are getting ripped off.

That being said, I'll assume you don't trust me on that but use some logic here, if you assume it costs over a billion to kill a jedi knight and whatever you retardedly high cost was for a padawan, then why do so many die at the hands of bounty hunters? Rethink your numbers I'd say at most you spending around 20k to do a bouny on jedi if you kill them and they don't get your speeder. Armor against a jedi? You are dumb right? That won't do a thing to help you.

Anyhow I'm done you are the top trolls of all the trolls, you should be stripped of posting abilities. All of your posts give little accurate info and mostly only insight anger or are good for a laugh at best.

I'm sorry ... as a MBH who has sucessfully hunted quite a few jedi .. I call BS on all of this ...

Throughout my SWG career, I highly doubt I have made more than 5 million in the year I have been playing ... and most of that would be from running Janta missions to finance my alt weaponsmith.

I think you need to check some of your numbers.

Did you write this as a joke?

These numbers all seem way too high.

Add to these gross overestimations that you do not need Stun Armor to fight a jedi, as a matter of fact wearing armor against a Jedi makes you MORE likely to lose, as your special costs go up significantly.

100k for a single PSG? not in my world.

the 50k for an LLC might actually be a little low in my experience.

1.6 million for travel? Umm. where were you going? The Delta Quadrant?

100k for cloning!
