Thread: Killed 3 marks on kashykk (220K+) who were AFK and did not get paid (no DB, NO XP Loss)

Ok this is REALLY annoying, if the Jedi is AFK on Kashykk and you kill him he goes instanlty corpse, no DB no XP loss no bounty collected. the player rating goes up but that is it. SOMEONE PLEASE VERIFY. I asked another BH on Chilastra and he said YES it is happneing to him also.


They were not triple incapped.


I think some Jedi are catching on,I get ot the village and have to wait a few minutes to recoup from the "burst run web weaver hell" of the trail and they ALL go AFK, man what is going on here????


IF this is true it needs ot be addressed immediately, it is bad enough hunting on kashykk.

Only a guess, but maybe he has sent a duel to one of his grinding buddys before going afk and this guy accepted the duel when you attackt and dbed him before you could? Used to be a method to avoid xp-loss some time ago, dont know if it has been fixed.

Does combat log say you performed the deathblow? Or someone else (which would confirm what the second poster says)?

If they're truly AFK, and they die in the webweaver paths, they'll be transported back up near the gate in that same instance. Just wait there (or leave and come back) around 30 min to an hourand they respawn and you can attack and get the bounty.

Don't think they can safely do this with entirely with macros. The 'DB' has to be attackable in dueling, so since their macros will rotate target they'll be fighting each other.


more likely they have a macro to duel a non-jedi friend who is there 'atk' and this guy can just /duel them when they are attacked and try toperform the deathblow.


I'd report them for exploiting as the deathblow with duel is clearly an exploit used to avoid xp loss. Then do as advised, just wait near the jedi till they revive their friend and try again since you still have the mission. Be sure to hit that deathblow ASAP. If they don't get revived - just travel back to the gate and finish the job. (I would say however, that if a jedi was dueling someone and you attacked or what ever - and that other person got the /deathblow in before you - that wouldn't be an exploit as they were actually going at it before you tried to enforce the law.)


My money is on the /deathblower being a Mdoc/MCM who is hanging with them. Might want to check the non-jedi and put their name in the ticket. Also for gigles check this thread -

Would you care to test out a 400 year old sword to see if it's decayed to condition 0? All the prior testers have no comment. Perhaps a gun which was used in WW I and still fires with high accuracy upto 1km?

If that doesn't get you, then start reading current military specifications for combat equipment.

Guys I have now verified that this is not a DB/DUEL exploit. It happned to me witha Jedi that was loading into the trail, we were the ony ones there, I was coming out and saw him, I atttacked, I killed him and it gave me no DB it just corpsed him. He then spawned a few seconds later , i attacked again and had him defeated and he tells me asking to pay me off before DB, I never incapped him and did not want ot be a jerk so i let him pay me. he did not lose XP, I fdid not get paid by the game, my player rating was adjusted and the game did tell me I fearlessly slain him.


I think it has to do with AFK, it happned to me with this jedi. I have the entire conversation between me and him discussing it (I took a pic). The common denomitator is "player not at the controls" which includes the AFK sign and also loading in.


PLEASE SOMEONE VERIFY. I spoke to a BH that hunts kashykk alot on Chilastra and he says it is happneing to him with AFK jedis. I WANT TO VERIFY THIS ON ANOTHER SERVER.


This needs IMMEDIATE ATTENTION. Please help us correspondent.


I got a 223K, 226K 138K and 108K and only got paid on one and not form the game.


I AM ALSO USING A PET (level 69 gaping spider hunter). The other jedis that I have gotten paid out (they werenot AFK) 223K, 108K and 60K all paid out fine with my pet attacking so I do not belive it is the pet.

What the old saying. make something idiot proof, and someone will invent a better idiot. (not directed at the op) This is just silly that someone would resort to flagging himself afk to get an instant no penalty death.


And you wonder why we get no new content or other professions fixed. They are so busy rewriting things that were for the benefit of the community (see the /unstick thread also), to now have to combat the handful of people that exploit the system.

Isn't the Incap time related to the damage of the last blow that hits your target?


If this is the case, I suggest that you all invest in a beautiful CDEF pistol. When your mark's health gets low, pop him with ranged shot from a CDEF weapon.


My thought is that a CDEF will put the Jedi into a 5 second incap, too short for his buddies DB macro to get in. If you can do this three times in a row, you will get credit for the triple incap, and thus the kill.

Got paid the full amount upon DB on AFK Jedi. So, I don't think this is a repeatable problem at this time.
