Don't shoot the messenger, please.

1) If you use a seeker in either "one-use" (now renamed "Seek Bounty Target") or "infinite use" (now renamed "Track Bounty Target" but still bugged and giving infinite uses) and target is not on world you get the "off-world" message as before.

2) If you use an arakyd (actual droid now renamed "Arakyd Probot", not "Imperial probot" and the option to call is now "Request probe droid" with no sub-menu) then you get the planet, but no name.

3) If you use a seeker in "one use" mode then you do get a single location waypoint and it loses target you also get "Analysing biological signature... Target:XXXX"

4) If you use a seeker in "infinite use" mode then you do get running waypoints but do NOT get a name.

5) If you use a seeker in either mode on kash, you get the "too many lifesigns" message and do not get any waypoints (and heres the important bit) DO NOT get a name

I am cross posting this in the bug thread in the hope they consider point 5 a bug and either fix the infinite use bug and give a name or make it a feature that to get the name you need to use a charge.

Thanks to the jedi who helped me with this test, and vredak for testing with me.

That about sums it up. One thing I might add, I was on Tatooine and tried to use a seeker droid on 'seek' option when I knew my mark had already gone to Kashyyyk so we could test. Instead of the usual 'your target isn't on this planet' message you get with a seeker I got the 'too many lifeforms on Kashyyyk' message. That would seem to be a bug as it's inconsistent with seeker behavior if you are not on the same planet as your mark.

This new system has the effect of making you burn through seeker charges (DE's will finally have repeat business on seekers) while also providing a safe haven for Rryatt trail grinders.

I propose we make a petition to send to the Empire, requesting that Kashyykk be the next target for the Death Star.

Sounds good eventhough the Devs might want to look into point 5 and maybe give the name with the infinite use option...

Although i know some DE who might actually be happy, they've 'only' been asking for a fix of this "bug" for the last 2 years now, after all...

Yea, at least DE's will be of some use and make some money.

I think it is incredibly gay that the name doesn't return for Kashyyyk marks. Boooooo!!!!!

It already works this way on live servers: if you launch a seeker and your mark is on Kashyyyk, you get the "too many life signs on Kashyyyk" crap. If the mark isany other planet (except yours of course), you get the "target not detected on your planet" message.

I realized this 2 days ago, it'sa good tip if you want to spare 30 seconds before going back to mission terminal (since you can launch the seeker immediately after having talked to informant, whereas Arakyd needs about 30 seconds before search is started). You can even use it to spare some Arakyd, but it would mean that you wait for the seeker results before calling the Arakyd.

I'll look to see why the Track mode doesnt consume a droid.

Did it bug anyone else for 2 years it said "imperial probot base", and had 2 menu options that did the same thing? Cleaned it up so it is a bit more obvious what you are doing.

3) If you use a seeker in "one use" mode then you do get a single location waypoint and it loses target you also get "Analysing biological signature... Target:XXXX"

Glad thisworks, put this in based on Tanks feedback to us and running through it once the new way on TestCenter. The terminal greifing should be eliminated as it takes more of a time investment to even get to the point of finding a name.

4) If you use a seeker in "infinite use" mode then you do get running waypoints but do NOT get a name.

Seek mode is the only one that returns name.

5) If you use a seeker in either mode on kash, you get the "too many lifesigns" message and do not get any waypoints (and heres the important bit) DO NOT get a name

Until the Producers decide otherwise, Kashyyyk stays how it is.

Thanks to the jedi who helped me with this test, and vredak for testing with me.

Glad to see the fixes put in work! Hopefully cleaned up the system a bit so new BH's do not get confused with all the sub menu options.

Are the producers aware of what exactly is happening on Kashyyyk as a direct result of this "design decision" and how it doesn't even slightly resemble a "themepark/quest planet" anymore?

terminal griefing? are you joking? excuse me but what exactly are you talking about?

are you insinuating that hunting jedi is now considered "griefing"? what happened to keeping them rare? what happened to making jedi "hard mode"? what happened ot the star wars galaxies TIME LINE (we are still inbetween a new hope and empire, if memory serves).

what ever happened to:

http://img299.echo.cx/img299/6233/jedi6vl.jpg

1) they aren't rare or mysterious
2) jedi do not feel like a rare breed, it's easier for me to find a jedi than a doctor
3) jedi aren't permanately dead
4) jedi aren't the target of NPCs any more than other players
5) it is not difficult to advance to knight
6) they are not hard to become, they are not rare
7) they are not adjusting the system to keep it that way, they are making it easier to become a jedi, and jedi are becomming more common
8) it is guaranteed that if you want to become a jedi, you will
9) they aren't tweaking anything
10) jedi are certainly not rare, let alone very very very rare.
11) they are not being faithful to star wars
12) i see a picnic of jedi everytime i go to theed

isn't the existence of jedi in this current system essentially griefing everyone who knows anything about continuity or immersion?

isn't the existence of jedi in this current system essentially griefing anyone who thinks the devs are attempting to be consistent in their protrayl of jedi?

Blixtev - Kashykk is a content planet which is fair enough, allow jedi to enjoy the content without being disturbed by Bounty Hunters - however many jedi are using the planet as a grind haven which pretty much totally removes the risk from becoming a jedi ever.

Could I be so bold as to propose that you remove XP from Kashykk mobs? or reduce it considerably to make grinding on the planet not a viable option - that way Kash stays a content planet and Jedi don't get their haven.

Blixtev...you weren't going for this i'm sure...but....you really came off very...for lack of a better word "smart ass"

Almost mocking....not trying to flame just giving ya a minor PR tip....just kinda felt that way to me, maybe it was just me though /shrug

But so you're saying, we can't get a name on kash, this is intended...and so without a name we CANNOT hunt jedi on kash because droids don't give waypoints...so are you saying at this time its an active decision (not a bug or unintended effect that's just hard to code-fix) to make kashyyk a jedi safe zone?
