Why do Jedi and BH have to hate each other so much? Sure we often have to fight each other, but even that does not have to be a negative experience. Most of the bounty hunters I have fought win or lose things end cordial.Sure some Jedi are jerks, but there are jerks everywhere in every profession. Not all Jedi are exploiters or cheated their way to Jedi, alot of Jedi put in alot of time and effort to get where they are. I just think all this hate is a waste, lets keep things professional just like Boba Fett or Mace Windu would. See you on the battlefield

SOE's philosophy in a nutshell is this. If someone or a group of people are special, and different from others, then by all means strip the special people of the things that made them special in the first place. Do this so that the not- so- special people dont feel bad about themselves. By all means DO NOT encourage the not- so -special people to strive to themselves become special. Its not like we all didnt start with 250 credits a cdef and a melon.

I have only met 1 Jedi that acted like a jerk, infact, every other Jedi I have fought/met etc have been very cool, very rational and very mature players. Guess im lucky.

Imaturity will exist on many formats and isn't isolated to a particular skill or profession; it's more related to a lack of skill.

The whiners exist on many formats and can be found anywhere in life. It takes a better person to overlook this ranting and shape their experiance into something more enjoyable.

Well said. I've had no bad experiences with Jedi, the only hate I've seen is on this board. The only bad experience I've had is when a friend of a Jedi was taunting me as I went down (good fight very educational). But I have his name on my "friends" list and eventually I will run into him again and take him out.

Otherwise I'm having a blast I win some...lose some and learn with every experience.

BH's hate jedi for the same reason every other type of player hates jedi. Jedi hate BH's because we hinder their unchecked progress to god mode. They have some emotional fixation with being the next luke skywalker and get upset when they get killed because they are group grinding generating all kinds of visibility for themselves in a profession that is implied consent to involuntary PvP by nature. They want to play but dont want to pay. Who cares, it's a very common theme these days, not just in SWG these people act this same way in RL too, most of them dont even play SWG.

The last Jedi I killed do not say anything, no flaming or cursing or ranting and raving, just died peacefully... Nice and cordial...

People assume Jedi are out for a God mode or an I win button.

Others assume BH's to all be griefers.

Stereotypes, that is a main cause of it...apparently even this thread is not immune

Exactly, once such stereotypes are created, there are people who will jump on the bandwagon and perpetuate them...

BH's get pissy becasue they loose against a Jedi time and time again and feel they should have a higher win/loss so they complain. So when BHs use low-handed tactics or kill younglings Jedi come back and say, your all gankers and lamers. Thats why...

Jedi think that they should get all the high praise, just because they happened to make it past FS.

If all us BH's wanted to be Jedi, we would have already started working on it.. Our fate lies elsewhere.

Forced PvP causes increased emotional reaction. If there were a PvP class of Jedi and a Role Play class of Jedi then maybe the "god mode" wouldnt be an issue with those who gave up or have not yet been able to accomplish the title "Jedi"
