Thread: What i think would be a good Solution to control Jedi population

A form of perma death so to speak. but jedi don't lose their skills, i know, i don't know what it's like to grind a jedi, but i know what it's like to want too compete in the GCW and not be able to form a decent battle without eachside having 10-15 jedi. So what I say is if a jedi dies say 5 times in a week, That players Jedi slot becomes un-able to log on for the rest of the week. They are still able to access their alt toon though. I really think there needs to be some reason Hedi get an alt toon slot these days, other then just being a Jedi. Back in the day when it was actully hard to get Jedi i can see that as an acceptable reward for the holo-grinding. But i dont think it is these days.

This has been suggested before, I liked the idea but most Jedi will say they're paying to play the game and "they shouldnt pay for an account they cant play".

hehe exactly, then people can get jedi as fast as they want, but if they suck they can't play it....weeds out the good from the bad, kills 2 birds with one stone

It has probably gone to far now to control the jedi population in any way without pissing off a lot of people, the only way now is probably to work out some way to prevent jedi from dominating normal toons in GCW etc.

I respectfully submit you have the wrong attituide....I hope they breed like bunnies!!!!!!! Nice tastefull willing victims lol......Would a master fisherman hope there is less trout in the lake hardly ...would a master wild game hunter hope there is less deer, boar or bears in the park...hardly....I think you see where I am going....I wish for hundreds of noob jedis all with slow connections in my dreams lol

I think the Jedi represent the majority of the long term players, powergrinders and PVPers.
Perhaps the Devs should be focusing on something to do after mastering your profession. The GCW was supposed to be a focus of what people who master their profession are supposed to do, but its a little rediculous at the moment. It need another overhaul definately. I wouldn't even consider the last 'GCW revamp' they did a revamp. More of a couple of bug fixes..
The 'so called' bases arn't really bigger than guild halls, doesn't inspire much confidence in the empire/rebellion. They need to be static bases in a Planetside style combat system. Heres a thought too, the lower level bases can be captured via PVE means, but the ones needed for planetary control should be PVP required, would definately go for large scale PVP, theres that many planets too, would be great..

Although I went a little overboard there, add +that would give people something to do other than be jedi or hunt jedi. (After the first paragraph)

NO Permadeath, if my main toon gets deleted, so does my account, though I know some of you would love that.

Torr hmmm I think you misunderstand perma-death....correct me if I am wrong...the way it use to work is you are a blue ghosty for 24hours....like YOda or Obi...If they brought that back I could see the jedi linning up asking us to kill them for the fun of it when its a novalty fad

jus change up how to get jedi again, but insted of showing people where the village is and all that stuff jus dont tell em how it changed.

jedi dont always dominate PvP i win 1/2 of my head to head battles with jedi now that i'm lvl 80
i'm not even MBH yet
