Ok I know theres plenty of ppl in our server selling Lightsabres...which I know is an exploit...But is it until its been sold for the million profit? If so...then with my main char (weaponsmith). Would I be able to display the hilts in my store?. I mean its not an exploit as such as that it would gain me large amounts of exp or money...Can get a confirmation...or at least an agreement before I go and do it...Thanks

You have to use the droid exploit to transfer sabers, so it probably falls into that catagory. The only way you would be able to display one would be to hand it to your vendor for the vendor to hold.

my main for my jedi is a weaponsmith, i've equiped my vendors with lightsabers.. I'm sure its an exploit but as they go relatively benign, it's just something to add to the Star warsiness of the game for me. I'll never sell one as most people are unaware of the name of my jedi, and making profit off an exploit to me is wrong also.
I had to have a little fun with it somehow though

Short answer: Yes it is an exploit. Even if all you do with the sabewr afterwards is display it, it was still an exploit getting it to the weaponsmith.
Long answer: QAlthough it is exploiting to transfer the saber to the weaponsmith, if there is no profit from it(Xp, money or what ever) and is only done to create a decoration, then I seriously don't think anyone will be banned/warned because of this. First off, someone would have to stroll by your shop and see the lightsaber displayed and realize it wasn't one of the broken ones that drop as loot(or atleast did drop). Then that person wouold have to actually know there is an exploit used to get it up as a decoration(the transfer not the placement). Then after all this, they would have to take their time to report it.
As you can see, even though this is technicaly an exploit, it is very hard to believe that you would ever have more than a CSR telling you they were destroying it due to the transfer exploit being used. There is no way a CSR would ban someone because their jedi's lightsaber was on a merchant as a decoration. Hell once there it can no longer be used, ever again!

Ok this is just my opinion which doesn't count for $hit. I think it is to a point. I believe to get the xp from concealing everyone you should have to be grouped with em. However that's just an oversight by the Devs. Don't complain about it or the Nerf Bat (tm) will start a swingin

Grouping with people would be a mute point lately. Theyform "solo" groups on planets like Dantooine now. I could join a solo group and conceal everyone, then disband from the group. Everyone in that group would still be concealed for 15-20 minutes.
Furthermore, there is no range to concealment other than line of sight. So long as I can see you, I can conceal you. However, if I am grouped with you, I can highlight you in the group window andconceal you. It might be an oversight or it might be on purpose.

I tried this out as an experiment: I got Wayfaring III and went to Dantooine. This went on for atleast 15-20 minutes until all the conceals ran out.
So I ask...would this be considered an exploit? Conceal is an ability of the Ranger just like buffs is an ability of a Doctor or spices are an ability of a Smuggler. Unlike the other professions, the Conceal skill gives the Ranger the capability to level at an exceptional rate.
Wow - did they changescouting xpto make itharder to get? I think I maxxed out my scouting xp within two weeks of finishing ranger. You can get "several thousand scouting xp" from harvesting things too. ![]()

Yes, you can get alot of Scoutingxp from harvesting. However, how would you like to
do it in hoursinstead of 2 weeks? Conceal can get alot of xp in a short amount of
time. Furthermore, while people were concealed/hunting in the countryside, I was
free to go and complete a couple missions. I have not found a maximum range for
conceal to send me the scouting xp. I got scouting xp from that person so long they
remained on that specific planet.

Scouting xp was always the least of MY worries on the path to Master.....now, if you got camping xp for all the people in a Solo group....
