So I'm a CL 67 and the jedi is 80. I'm loaded up on food and drink, and my mark is just standing around in the dant spaceport. I pull out my rifle, duelist stance up and take a knee. My first shot knocks him down, my second applies the bleed, and third blinds him. He's on the ground a good two minutes, and I'm hitting torso as fast as I can...I get himi to three quarters down in health and I'm thinking I caught him AFK....then his health starts shooting up, and I can't outdamege the healing fast enough. He's still on the ground knocked down and now I'm wondering if he hasa buddy healing him. He finally gets up, closes before I can get away, and that's that..in about thirty seconds he owns me. I can't get knockdown, concussion or any state on him, and his saber just kicks my butt. I know I should have stayed out of his range, but he seemed to close so fast, and my movement was hampered by the rifle.
What else can I do..is it feasible for a CL67 to down a CL 80?
This was my first attempt at hunting jedi, and while I think I got pwnd, I think I did okay.
Any ideas?

Get to level 80, then try again. But, you did very well for a cl 67.
welcome to the wonderful world of deep combat systems. You really need to be lvl 80 also if you want to stand a chance. Before the CU this would have been possible if you knew what you were doing but sadly deep comat means your dmg reflects your level. Here to stay i'm afraid.
Chin up, grind out to lvl 80 and try again

Pre CU? Yea right Jedi were gods then.

99% of the time you arnt going to kill them by out damaging their heals. You need to wear them down slowly until they have no mind/force.
"Actually guys - CL does NOT come into the equation in pvp. It's all about skills and weapons. For PvE it's another matter of course. "
While techically true, your combat level determines your hit points... thus a cl 67 is gonna get owned every time by a level 80

There are alot of things that can give you a much better chance to kill a jedi first theres your combat level that is the most important if you try to fight any combat level 80 not even a jedi they will usually kill you fast unless you are also level 80.
Then theres armor this makes a huge difference I'm a master defender jedi and I know for a fact the only way a bounty hunter could kill me is to wear me down unless I was afk or at 1 percent force when I was attacked or somthing. This means you have to be able to tank the jedi for a long time.
Next theres healing it is important that you have a decent amount of healing available to you a good level would be combat medic 4 0 0 0 or possibly some doctor you have to find which level suits you.
Then from your template armor type of weapon and healing you have to decide wheater your style is to tank the jedi or kite them.In most cases kiting is needed to a certain extent use any snares roots you have to give you distance maybe save roots for when your in big trouble.
The final thing to remember is that jedi are intended to be 1.5 times stonger then any template thats the main reason they are allowed to be hunted and have large bounties. The jedi you attacked was probably a full template which is like a jedi knight so they will always be hard to kill even by bounty hunters with the best equipment etc.
Killing a jedi is possible but it will never be easy and you need to use tactics and most of all expirience to learn the right tactic for the jedi template and level etc.
Even the best bounty hunters will admit they don't win 100 percent of the time but with enough practice its possible to win atleast some of the time.
Well I hope I helped hehe well good luck hunting

- Being under CL 80 is a Non-Starter.
- Of course you got owned, wouldn't matter if the mark was Jedi or not, if you CL is that far under your opponents (post CU) you will die.
- Complete you template before you even DREAM of it
- Get the right template
- Better be able to heal consistenly and often if you are planning on take out Jedi
- Get some CM. Either 4000 or Master
- Anything NON-CM or DOC is a gamble and mainly based on luck (luck that the Jedi is < templated and luck that they do not know how to not die)

LOL, you both be wrong and DEAD wrong.
You think a CL 67 player has the same health of a CL 80? Does somehow your health instintly increase when you PvP?
Does your Defense and Accuracy somehow increase?
I'm just wondering, since CL has no impact in PvP and all.
