Thread: Solo Jedi....HOW! Crazy 3 BH attack fails!
This and similar experiences that have all fallen in the Jedi's favor is why I won't waste my time anymore with Jedi bounties. I don't care to have the chance to win a fight 10% of the time.
Wasting 90% of my time and credits is not fun. It's great they are the Alpha class and supposedly we are the semi Alpha class (Advanced Tank is the description of our class) that can fight them, but I am failing to see the fun and anything resembling an equal fight between the two classes. Lets not discuss people who have lame Jedi or BH templates, those wins/losses are due to poor templating and some skill.
I am beginning to think 90% of the BH's claiming they are killing Jedi are full of sh!t. Sure if you bide your time and wait for that one lucky moment, AFK, LD, incapped by creature or another player you get a kill..whoohoo..fun.
I have more fun stabbing myself in the eye...which hunting NPC's is like anyways.
Till the combat system's current exploits, over powered sabers, force powers that ignore armor and hybrid Jediare adjusted somehow..it's a waste of time.
The only people who even have a chance are those that have put 1+ yearsofinvestments in their BH weapons, SEAs and have a near unlimited bank account to afford the food, vehicles, droids, weaponsand armor (that last all of5-6fights).
I have yet to come across a Jedi thatis not fully template (whether full Jedi orintentional hybrid using RIS armor andusing LS or some type of melee weapon)that doesn't run (somehow I have only come across one Paddie, the rest were all Knights and Masters). Of course the ones that stay and fight, eventually win through attrition (FR, cloak, recharge, return to fight) or get you with KD bug and rip you up inone minute or less.

Gotta catch them with their pants down. If they don't go down in 5 shots...run. Run fast and run far cause they will get you.

Bladius, I am thinking you are probably right. I don't see how a non-CM can kill1 vs. 1. Even a CM ....if the jedi doesn't want to fight, its not like a BH/CM can pour out enough damage to keep them from running. I am not going to quit trying just yet, but this experience could not be termed anything more then negative

How in the world do you guys solo jedi?
Here's a little story of a hunt last night.I just returnedfrom a long vacation from SWG. Two guildmates and I decided to try and prove or disprove the that multiple BH's could get the same jedi's mission by checking the jedi's price. After 20 minutes of trying to find duplicate prices we gave up and decided to just try and get oneon the same planet. To all of our surpises we all got a jedi on Endor (it was about 2 am so maybe there weren't many jedi on). We all managed to get the same jedi for different prices...go figure.
Anyway this is were it gets interesting..I am MBH/MCarb/CM 4 0 0 0, my guildie is MBH/MRifles with root from somewhere, the last guildie involved is MBH/MCM/some pistols. We tracked the target to a lake on Endor. He was a fair distance from the lake when we hit him. We rooted him, poisoned him, bled him and just generally shot the crap out of him, 3 of us. He still managed to get to the water, at this point we pulled combat droids and started shooting him in the water. He promptly swam at super speed away from the droids....which could not keep up for some unknown reason. He pulled his bike after recharging his force ( I presume) heckling us all the way. As soon as he hit land we blew up his bike and proceeded to again root, DOT, shoot the crap out of him ( 3 BHs ..). We could not seem to get his mind to go and he kept his health above 1/2 pretty much the whole time. He again makes it to water as we get ever closer to the starport. We tried to detonate 2 bomb driods on him, but they didn't even dent his health while he was swimming.
He kept standing in the water and healing himself...I am not sure how this works but it was like he could walk on water. Finally, he gets out of the water and pulls out one of the new 100% terrain negotiation speederbikes. I tried to blow up the speeder with my droid as he was out of range of my carbine, but it was hitting him instead....very odd. We get to the starport and he is running around the buildings trying to get to the ticket area. Again we are rooting, knocking down, bleeding, poisoning all that stuff. He runs into the terminal and disappears...with 3 BHs constantly shooting him. His guildies were all over Dantooine reporting back to him where we were. We wanted to try and catch him coming into one of the ports. He finally logs out. I told his guildie "Man Jedi are crazy tough to kill know." His guildie says "He's a Master Defender."....as if that explains the whole incident.
Granted I haven't played SWG much since hurricane CU hit, but I was using a nice proton carbine from a quest and never once ran out of action or mind constantly spamming specials like knockdown, stun, blind, cripple, and torsoshot. We had buffs and food and none of us were in an danger of dieing at any point. My guildmates have better weapons then I am carrying and we didn't make a dent in the fella.
So I ask all of the successful post CU BH's, if a jedi decides to run instead of fight....how in the world does a lone BH kill one. Back before CU I had a nice string of dead Jedi's even a couple Knights I am stumped on how you guys are doing it now. Pre-CU it was hit them so hard so fast they never got the chance to run, with root and everything we can hold them up longer but they actually seem to be in less danger then before. I had blast trying, but it was pathetic that 3 of us couldn't take this guy down.
Where did we go wrong?

don't spam stat shots, spam your hardest hitting specials.
Yeah, this is a definate. I wasn't thinking about the crazy high state defense master defenders get....state shots are probably a waste of time in that regard.

as a test, my Master Defender roommate, a fellow BH and I got together on the roof of our guildhouse to see if a MDEF could just stand there if he didn't fight back.
Both my friend and I had Doctor Adrenaline buffs on (my friend was MBH/MD), and we started attacking him with our highest damage specials as quickly as we could. All he did was throw up force aura, valor and infusion while giving himself an occasional heal. During the 15 minutes of attack, we barely scratched him. he was fine on force and mind. By not using any force fighting back, he made himself almost invunerable.

That really opened my eyes as to what a Master Defender could do if he didn't feel like fighting.
Knockdown, Deuterium Pyro, Apply States, Apply Bleed (and DOTs if you got em)...
