I've never had this used on my bh before but from what I understand, it gives them some error when they try a /duel on the BH who has him as a mark. Not that it matters to me....I tend to fly in and attack using surpise so it wouldn't really work on me.

It's a definitive way of them checking whether you have their mission or not. It's a bad side effect from a recent fix.

An exploit where a mark can find out if you have their mission.

This isn't an exploit as there is no bug to take advantage of. It is working as intended.

However, that doesn't mean the system hasn't been designed in a by a chimp with an alcohol problem, allowing it to be easily abused in such a way.

Abuse != exploit

I really don't understand why this was put in. Wasn't the "duel exploit" fixed a while back?

I disagree,

This is an exploit and I refuse to use it, hopefully it will be fixed soon.

How is it an exploit? Cheap maybe, but so is /target <name> looking for a cloaked Jedi, and so is auto target cheap. But none are exploits.

and the proper macro sequence would be: /duel;

/pause 2;

/endduel;

Abusing an oversight in the game in such a way to get an unintended advantage is an exploit.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but it seems foolish to me to waste time with that. I suppose if you're a "sit in Theed and duel" kinda Jedi it'd help somewhat. Personally I stay the heck and gone from people not in my guild as much as possible so that I know if I seea random dot on my radar (my guild includes both neutereds and rebels) I need to pay attention and if mousing over the dots reveals they're not in my guild, I've got them targetted and I'm ready to scrap as soon as the opening shot is fired.

/duel /endduel is a waste of time. You can't do jack about it anyway until the person decides to open up. As many BHs as there are anymore, everyone is a potential fight waiting to happen.

How is using target an exploit? Im using it to.......target.

And the correct macro for that is /tar <Mark's Name>. Put this on a hot key and update the name on the way to their WP. Very useful when doing a high speed dismount, or to re-accuire a mark if needs be.

When I walk around , or just log in and coming back to an outpost and a Jedi does this to me I go to the terminals and pick their mission and kill them.
