Thread: Now that Jedi heals are sucking up mind (8-10% per heal i hear) traumatize will be important

For those CM/BH hybrids out there it is starting to look like traumatize will be important debuff to add --luckily there are enhancers available that will extend the duration of the debuff. I have noticed testing on TC Ahazi that jedi are claiming that each 1500 heal uses between 8-10% of thier mind pool, thus retarding thier regeneration rate with Traumatize (like is done with hemorrahage) will be a smart opening move.

To be totally honest as soon as I see a BH now I will hit Force Run, or heal out the Root (or use Ai) then its cya, chase me over the entire planet if you want to, but with zero insentive to fight even with a completed template why should I stay?

This is why they never should have nerfed really good weapons . . . with force run around,a nice weaponwas really the only effective way to take out a jedi 1 on 1 before the jedieitherkilled the BH or ran to the nearest pool of water.

I think its deeper than that, why should I stay and fight? I get nothing for fighting, no FRXp, no cash, no bonus, and added to that they have reduce my effectiveness in battle, so why stay and fight?

Sure it is fun, but see it from this point. A BH can gain something from defeating a Jedi, cash. A Jedi gains what? Nothing. Sure the BH loses his mission if the Jedi beats him/her/it, but the BH can pick it up again right away. And pvp rating are just silly numbers, doesnt do you any good if you have it high.

Right now it is fun, a good 15-20 minute fight tactics involved, a BH's higher damage vs our better healing tanking abilities, you looking to overpower us, us looking to avoid and counter.

Now that Healing is on par with that is available to every combat prof and yet our damage is still lower why would I stay and fight? fun is a good fight not a onesided affair. While the possible 5 on 1 situation exists would you stay and die just for fun? last time I checked dieing in a few seconds was not fun.

If they want to balance jedi healing with normal classes great but they need to add damage to compensate, we used to be able to fight in a long fight because we could heal up damage now that ability has been blanced but our damage output has not been balanced, if anything our one powerful attack has been nerfed.

I love BH vs Jedi encounters and I'm all for balance, what the devs have propsed is not balance

That's irrelevant. Jedi aren't supposed to have fun. They're supposed to get into groups in order to get anything vaguely resembling decent exp so that BH's are provided with content. Whomever told you that Jedi were intended to have fun sold you a bill of goods.

IN fact I can see Cloak and Force run being in a lot of Jedi templates, as its simple you can't kill what you cant see or catch, might seem cowardly but its going to save a lot of paddies xp.

Aye, we need to be on par with MRfileman (and maybe even tone their damage output down a bit). The reason why my current template is MRfile/Jedi, is, that i dont have to care for roots and snares and can put out about the same damage as a Rifle/BH. With the nerfs to healing, this will be even more important and i wont drop any rifleman skills until i am maxed out on jedi xp, so i can get LS 0402 in one go.

if you run it is a mission success to me--i personally target pvp jedi of the opposite faction that come to theed and gank normal toons--so i watch get mission and wait--if they jedi runs--good if i catch off gaurd and kill --even better. The end result is the same--i get rid of kiddie pvp poons that get off on cloak/gank loaders or those that recruiter camp

there are ways around force run and water. part of the work of bh is figuring out the best time to strike. stick to the high end missions and you will find lots of jedi to hunt, many who will even fight you till the end. if a jedi wants to run that's fine, it's their right and they never asked to be hunted. i'm not sure i'd want to spend all that time grinding though so i can run from a fight, lol i can do that now but since it's a game and not real life i usually choose to stay and fight and if i die, oh well. i know jedi lose xp so it's expected they might run till they are fully templated. but a fully templated jedi running doesn't sound like much fun...

I understand what you are saying Bastlaa..almost a lose lose situation. I think you guys should get something when defeating us..some reward..not sure what tho.

The other night I had a little taste of what its like to be hunted, and while it was thrilling(first time overt), maybe it might nowt be so fun when you are trying to grind and must run at the sight of any players.(plus SF can be optional), but I guess with power comes problems.
