My hero, certainly.
I had a tell from a Jedi I killed on the Ryatt trails (twice actually, I had forgotten his name - I don't really remember their names down there) who said that he didn't have any problem with me killing him, he understood the risks, etc and that he only AFK grinded there since it was changed back "so he could spend more time with his infant son". I felt terrible.
Worst of all, despite me telling him that I wouldn't hunt him anymore (I have no problems hunting AFK Ryatt grinders who are doing it because they are too lazy to find a group in MO), he insisted that I continue to do so, and reiterated that he knew it was "my job" and that the XP debt was irrelevant in context of the extra time he had with his son.

I was a BH for a long time before I was a Jedi on my main, and I'm a BH on my second. To me, the enjoyment of BH is stalking live prey who react instictively to a BH attack. The thought of sniping someone who's not even at the PC and killing them in a few shots isnt my idea of fun or excitment. I'm sure there's no adrenaline doing that.
Ok so some people fell they are the BH vigilanty and feel the need to clense the servers of those criminal afk grinders
that's they're call. TBH, I have no problems with it, ah BH death is the price you pay for being afk. The problem is, in order to deter a Jedi, you will have to take his mission over and over and over and over. It's not a big deal that these guys are there, but if you want to kill them, go right ahead.

When we pull the mission now we have no way of knowing if they are AFK grinders. Previously you could check out the trails and pull missions for the AFK grinders you spotted. Now its random, you may get an AFK grinder, you may get a Full Template with pre-CU sabre. If I get a mission and the guy is AFK grinding I am not going to just drop the mission am I? I will collect the 220k first then pull another, TOTALLY RANDOM, mission. What is vigilanty about that?
Just grind it back and stop crying in these boards

ROFL oh wow.. I gotta try that sometimes
I hate to say this but its sad that some people get so addicted to a game like this that all they do is eat, drink and sleep it when they aren't on it. He could have just left it off and took another time to grind, instead of doing AFK grinding.
why? the game doesn't truely begin unless you're level 80 and strong enough to hold your own.
you can't do jack at low level anymore unless you're a crafter or entertainer.
afk grind to the point where you CAN log in to play when you have time to play.
thats not to say I wholely endorse afk grinding, mind you, but I can see his point of view though.
Still though.... Jedi can make at least 150k per hour grinding down there AFK. The likelyhood that they will have multiple deaths over a 10 AFK session is low. Maybe one, possibly 2 deaths in that timeperiod.
If they can make 1.5mil or more over 10 hours, and die twice to BHs, they still net over 900k xp. Still not a bad day's work. Even if they died 3 or 4 times over the 10 hours.... they still net a minimum of a few hundred thousand.
To stop this "free-ride" SOE would need to up the difficulty of the Feral Wookies but that would be at the sacrifice of the other players who wish to quest there... they'd then need a full group to take them on. Perhaps SOE could add in tougher mobs at that specific spawn? THough I'm sure a new grinding place would open up then....

That I think is the biggest problem. Someone will find the new 'best' spot and go crazy AFK'ing there. And then you could end up having bunches of different mobs changed just becuase a few people are taking a 'easy' way.
If they stay where they are, its free and easy kills for those who like that sorta thing.
I also gotta agree with the fact that so much of the game is geared only to top level players. Would you want to take a bunch of level 50-70's into the DWB? Corvette? Avatar? Its one of the bigger downfalls of the current level based system.
