Thread: Is master S(s)muggler/master Bounty Hunter possible?
I have no idea on the meaning of your post, if you just meen is that temp possable, then yeah a bunch of us, including myself have that temp. I love it for PvE, i also have 0020 medic with a healing eff. shirt that meens i can handle most things up to 85-88 if i have only 1 target at a time.
But most of this is common knowledge, not sure what there is to discuss ![]()

as for PvE, I love it. If I get in trouble I can Feign Death, wait a minute, while whatever I was shooting is still sitting there. As for a temp to hunt jedi, I would honestly not go with it.

There are a couple of guys claiming they are doing ok with this template while hunting jedi, but I really wouldn´t advise it. IMO, both MBH/MCM and MBH/MRM are far better suited to the task of hunting jedi. My main toon is a MBH/MSmuggler, but my alt (MBH/MRM) is outclassing him combat-wise in every category. As much as I love the Smuggler profession - don´t do it if you want to hunt jedi.
I posted something similar to this a few days ago, Thread tile, My temp (Not MCM/MBH) and received some good feedback.
It appears that this temp is not that great for hunting j3di. For me it is a matter of I am not going to drop either due to the hard work that I have put in to it. I don’t get a lot of time to play so dropping is not an option for me.
I do vary well against NPCs and have yet to fail a mission. I am waiting to get a visit from the old fartbag so I can start my character unlock. Once that is done this toon will become a proper Smuggler (MS/MP/with some commando) and my alt will be a proper Bounty Hunter. Yes most likely FoTM with some Rifles tossed in for good measure.
Have a smugglery day.
I live to smuggle so I must be dead.

MBH / MSmug doesn't have great damage output.... and the realy great shots break on damage. But if you are smart about it, you can use it to kill Jedi. However I would say that MBH / MPist / CM 4000 (or 0400) would be a better template.
Bodin.... why does a "proper Smuggler" have some commando in it?

IMO Han Solo was a comando, but he didnt have skill points to use I do.
could have been.... he did serve in the military. The blue pants he wore with the red stripe are military issue. The stripe was earned at some battle on correlia, hence the name of it is the "Correllian Blood Stripe". I can only assume it is meant to emulate the Blood Stripe that US Marines wear, that was added to the uniform after the Battle of Chapultapec (sp) in Mexico.

Master Smuggler makes a good base buster. You can make spices/slice/buy-sell faction with it! But you won't be able to get ALL of the professions required. Since there are SOOOOOOO many BH's around, I dropped the BH requirement and ground out M Smuggler. I love it against PvE, and the smuggler stuff is fun. Should be cool with the looming upgrade.
Play what's fun for YOU! Not what anyone tells you is best/worst. If you want to be a BH/smuggler GO FOR IT! You probably won't be killing Jedi, but then if you wanted to kill Jedi you would have said "what's a good template for jedi killing" instead of asking what you did. ![]()
I agree you should do what you like, but MBH/SMUG is a difficult template to play. As a good friend of mine said, you have to know your character and his abilities, bonuses, and stats like the back of your hand to get it just right. But if you DO get it right, you can beat almost anything. Just yesterday, I already beat 2 Jedi with the template.
Here's my strategy for using the template:
Stay farther from the Jedi (up to 65m) and switch to a rifle. It doesn't need to be good, just enough to apply Low Blow, Panic Shot, Reckless Shot, and Restraining Shotto slow them and lower defense. (I use pistol for main weapon, so I'm going from that point of view.) After the debilitating shots, hit them with Concussion Shot to make sure they won't be going anywhere for awhile. Close distance running or burstrunning, switch to pistol, and hit Underhand Shot. Blast away at them then with Critical Shot (I wouldnt recommend Torso Shot, more on that later). Make sure you have ranged shot or aimed shot as your auto-attack. When they get up, depending on the damage they deal, heal accordingly with Stim D's or Bacta Shot. If you can't heal fast enough, hit them with Concussion Shot again and heal/regen during that time period (40 seconds or so). Repeat. If you are losing really bad, DO NOT feign death. Wait till you have a sliver of health left, then use Last Ditch. It WILL NOT incap you (only does that in PvE), and if the jedi is lower than 3/4 health, you will almost always incap them (depending on their defense, you can hit 2500+ damage if your health is really low!)
Might or might not help, but there you go! ![]()
