On Bria we have something called ID (Imperial Dominion). What is its basically is an alliance of alot of Impierial guilds. I am in one of the allied guilds. I love to hunt Jedi's, I think its fun, and im pretty good at it (at least I think so). Now the other day I got fed up with stalking a target and having to refrain from kill the mark only because they are Imp.Ive had them Dizzy/KDed at my feet and stop. Its a bit frustrating.

Should I leave my guild and declare "Open Season" on all Jedi or...

Refrain from attacking these 40 or so Imperial Jedi and stay in my guild with my friends.

Honest Opinions Please

as a bounty hunter it dosent matter which side you are on, in roleplaying perspective you should take any mark regardless of faction if the pay is good. we have nothing to do with the GCW when we hunt our bounties so hunt whichever faction you would like.

true enough, but there is no need to make your own guild suffer. I left my guild for reasons like this, we get along nicely that way.

The same faction argument is a joke. I've run into this situation sooooooooo many times it is laughable. First off, people need to realize that Jedi do not partake in the GCW until they are at or near knight level. They fear dying (as they would most likely do) andXP loss. XP loss > faction to the grinding jedi. Before pub 9 it was worse, as there were fewer jedi, and they tended to ignore faction completely. If a Jedi is not ACTIVELY participating in the GCW, he's fair game to any and all.

I'm of the opinion, now, that ALL jedi should be hunted. My character believes that power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. That is why I left my guild and went neutral. But for those that have the slightest qualm about hunting same faction, it is completely justifiable from a RP perspective.

If hunting Jedi of your same faction is such a no no shouldn't selling weapons, armor, buffs, foods to the opposite faction bethe same? In the short term or long run I believe thats far worse if you trully cared about your faction you wouldn't be aiding them.

There are LOTS of major venders that do exclude known faction members and guilds just so they don't help the them. But you know as well as I do that this arguement is somewhat intellectually challanged. It's really not possible under the game constraints to stop everyone from walking into your store and buying things. But it sure is possible for you when rolling up on a purple dot not to attack him. Anyone arguing that it's okay to hunt same factioned Jedi is missing the larger picture here.

Nah. We're mixing apples and oranges here. In the movies there weren't any other Jedi other than the three. In the novels its an entirely different story. And thanks to SOE we have yet another iteration. Ignore what SOE did, and focus on how we comport ourselves. Faction members should be able to depend on one another for support through thick and thin. That is why we have factions isn't it?

The joke here is that you don't realize how that Jedi you hunted is going to say SCREW YOU when you want him to come help defend your base later on. Hypothetical of course, but see the point now? Don't burn your bridges now because you might need them down the road.

Bounty Hunter are the equalizers in the galaxy. If a person is put on a term with a price on their head, it's our responsiblity to hunt them down. If the Jedi we hunt is in our own faction, then they should have been more carefull to not get a price on their head. Thats our thing thats what we do.

That's all well and good for the guilded BH but why do I care? I don't have a base to defend, I doubt I'm going on anymore PvP hunts, besides jedi thats. I really can't imagine a case where I'd regret killing this jedi who happens to be of the same faction.

You know, your attitude is just sad. Drop your faction then, because you obviously don't give a damn about it.

If faction is more important to you than your mark then you shouldnt hunt same faction members. If your guild is opposed to its members hunting same faction members then you should leave your guild or abide by their rules. It all boils down to how much you care about certain people trusting/liking you. Hunting same faction jedi is an issue in this game because an Imp jedi would be furthering your cause which you believe in, or you wouldnt have gone Imp. That aside, do whatever you want, just dont be surprised if you get kicked from your guild, banned from shops or cities, or sent nasty tells. I just think if you are going to play a true faction member and join a factioned guild you should abide by its policies if you want to be a productive part of it. If your not being productive you have to decide whether you want to leave your guild/faction on good terms or get kicked later and maybe lose some friends over it. However, if you are Imp and use that to your advantage to hunt Imp jedi then more power to you, in that regard you are merely assuming the role of an Imperial to get your mark.

I would say that your attitude is narrow minded, as if I have to nuture and care for every purple dot I see. I do care about my faction, at least my avatar does, I am killing jedi that are traitors to the empire, if they are my allies why does Vader want to see them dead?
