Ok took on a obvious Master Defender. Attacked him. Made him heal once. He turned on all the lights and buzzers, force shield, force armor, valor etc lalala right. So as a pistoleer bh I know that I have to keep hitting him, run his action out try to get him on the ground etc. It will be a long fight but I'll stay for the long run......BUT he just stands there. His action never gets low because he doesn't attack back. I knock him down he gets back up. He heals with stims mostly and when he does have to heal with force it doesn't matter to his mind. My pistols do about half their minimum damage since he's got all these things going. So he benefits by doing nothing. His action never moves, his mind recovers and no doubt his force is hardly affected. I'm actually playing the game and trying to beat him and I dont care if its a tough fight BUT really this is retarded. Eventually he runs away. I let him go because it was just stupid.

I believe the phrase coined by the Devs is: This is working as intended. (As is true for most Jedi related stuff)

Valor and aura are force hogs, if he tries to maintain all those powers at once he will quickly deplete himself if you keep your distance.

Is that what happens when a jedi uses game mechanics to avoid actually playing the game?

yea that sucks but you could try some of these:

#1 drop his mission and find someone easier to kill.

#2 if its pvp your after simply go overt.

#3 if its credits your after there are a multitude of better ways to make them.

#4 stalk him at a different time, perhaps when he's pvping or tanking a boss and he's taking a beating.

#5 toss any tactics or thoughts out the window and complain on the forums....opps, tried that one

As a master defenser I beg to differ. Your statement may be true when dealing with a MDEF/MLS/healer3000/enh0002 template, but a Mdef/enh4xxx/healer4xxx/lsx4x4 template or variation with sap or another tree of saber is very different in battle dynamics.

I rarely have to use force valor and force aura is very economical. A single mastery dabbler has enough regeneration to cover it.

As an example,I was involved in a very strange fight that lasted 90 minutes. Igot caught pants down with low force and already ate a holo earlier in the day. After 90 minutes and 300+ wounds the bh decided he wasn't going to outdamage my defenses and I decided that without a chance to gain force i wasnt going to outdamage his heals and we called it a draw.

Don't delude yourself into thinking that you'll take a defender down because he's running aura/valor and you are kiting- unless he's a complete noob he will stay tight and grab your beltbuckle, thats what defenders do. If you take a defender down it will be due to high damage and burning out his mind. As long as the defender keeps his cool and is prepared with uncrated foods and stims you are in for a long fight. Not an unwinnable one, just a tough one.

I disagree.

I use Defender 4044 and even though I do not runa macro I never feel a pinch from using those skills. If a player had them both in a macro it would deffintly add up fast though.

So why take the mission in the first place, CA's/AA's dropped are worth far more and if you want to fight a Jedi you can just duel them. I just hunt NPC's moneys ok, attachments are great and they never run away!
