I'm a rebel and USED to hunt only imp jedi, but if and when these changes take effect, I will not waste my time taking a mission only to drop it cause there rebel. I no longer have a faction when it comes to the hunt.
I guess in the true RP sense I never should have anyway.
Just wanted ur thoughts if you only hunted one faction or the other.
I'm in a new guild and we have no jedi yet and are not aligned with any other guilds so that part of it doesn't effect me yet.

Wow, Many more BHs will join the true way of hunting, if they don't quit the game first.
I hunt all criminals of the empire even if they are a guildie. The empire has no use for criminals.

In my short time as a BH, the factional thing has really gotten me down. I'm a rebel, I don't want to kill my own faction, therefore I role-play myself as an alliance sponsored Sith hunter.
I'd already gotten sick of wasted trips, so I'd taken to sending a tell to my potential mark, enquiring about their faction, thus tipping them off I might be coming for them, but it did seem the lesser of evils.
If this change doesn't include a display the faction of your anonymous mark, then what the h*** are we supposed to do?

The patch notes that were put up were only partial, so you missed a few of them. For clarity's sake until pub 20 is pushed to Test. Names will now translate into "Rebel Jedi", "Imperial Jedi", "Neutral Jedi". Missions will only be generated if the target is online at the time, this doesnt guarantee they dont log for dinner, etc. At least you know they are online at the time of mission generation. There is also a fairly significant one in there were once the BH attacks(even if the Jedi doesn't fight back), the TEF flag is set and prevents Jedi from doing things that TEF's prevent, like entering houses.

Thank you for finally shedding some light onto the situation.

Its not wrong to hunt own faction, they change the rules, then we have to learn to adapt to the situation, simple.
I've never had an issue hunting own faction, dispite the hate tells. The whole issue of gee, should i hunt them cause they're same faction, hell no. Get a different job if you start thinking like that, seriously. Yes, totally agree from a RP side of things, and yet another reason why there should be a BH faction, save alot of probs.

Thank you for giving us some answers Blixtev. But does the TEF also prevent them from catching a ride from a friend via /offerride???

Thanks, first time I've seen a helpful post from a dev! Keep it up, that was very encouraging! For the record, if the devs made a lot more posts like you just did Blixtev, there wouldn't be so much bad feeling towards the devs.
Suggestion - Add an online status of your mark to the mission details (in datapad). Just in case the Jedi goes offline as soon as you take the mission for him/her.

Yay for an actual clarification on this!
As long as you're here, could you tell us why exactly was this change implemented? (specifically: what problems was it supposed to "solve"?)

can you confirm that pub20 will also move missions ot the master box ? a few of us have jedi/normal hybrid templates for hunting jedi to make it more fun, by moving to the master box it really makes it difficult for these templates to work.
