Bandwagoners are a good name, since they will find and play whatever is 'the best' for whatever advantage it will bring them (better pvp, better pve/loot, whatever).
Yes they are. There are some players that forget this is also a role playing game. One must take the good with the bad. I for one have been a Master Bounty Hunter for a year. It took me almost a year to get there, but I played and will continue to play the game. If another template gets something, good for them. I enjoy the whole concept of "role playing" a Bounty Hunter. It's not (or it should not be) about the loot, it's about the game and the hunt.
TBH though, BH was my first proffession....I loved it and still do more than many. I liked BH more when it wasn't included in FOTM templates....it made things challenging or us and rewarding. By being on the top of the ladder now we've only opened ourselves up for nerfs and balances. It isn't neccessarily the Jedi who make it happen but more a fact of gaming. Those on top always get pushed to the bottom.
Hopefully the BH corro can recognize this, and take steps to make sure that when we DO get nerfed/balanced that we won't end up being on the bottom again....but this tim somewhere in the middle.
I agree. I also fear for my profession becoming next in line due to all these jedi/BH alts pulling us towards the nerfbat.
Wish there was a way to prevent this from happening. But i think your 100% right, Thassk.

i dont see where the BH proffession needs to be nerfed ...name one thing in the last 5 months .. which was an improvment to the BH template just one thing .... the only change i remember was the moving jedi hunting to MBH box ( which i agreed with actually from a RP standpoint, but more people would classify this as a nerf ) and duelist stance being fixed so it didnt lag ( but this was a fix not an improvment to template)
our content has been raised sure ... but to make up for taking the grouping ability away ( which really ruined a lot the fun BH's had with their friends), and moving jedi hunting to MBH box, and the inability to hunt effectively on an entire planet ...
( the ability to farm skill tapes) shouldnt be confused with template power ...if the nerf bat comes down i can only forsee it being for the loot .. not the MBH proffession ...

BH in itself isn't too powerful, you're right. Yet, when you look at the combinations you can put it with (CM, SL, carbines, rifles) it becomes the center of the template. People don't say MC/MBH or MCM/MBH they put the MBH first, because that is the core of the template.
Don't think this as a flame, or a vendetta...I assure you it is not..but when have you seen the devs nerf the supporting skills of a player to make real actual balance and not the core component?
MBH itself won't be nerfed on the basis of being the best stand alone template out there but more on the basis that it becomes quite powerful when combined with other proffessions.
I ask you...when Jedi cry about being killing by MBH/SL BH's....or the alreay well known whine about MCM/BH's do you think the devs will take the time to balance all those supporting skills, or will they just "balnce (nerf) the 1 main skillset that is common in all instances: Bounty Hunter....
I don't post this on the idea that BH itself IS in need of a nerf but more on how the Devs, in the future may percieve it to be. Which solution: balancing the 4 hypothetical skills from other proffessions or jsut focusing hardocre on just 1?
first of all I will admit to being one of these players you talk about to an extent. I don't roleplay it's just not my thing, I'm more of the pvp'er that wants to be strong. If someone finds a good template that seems strong before me I will try that template. I got a jedi because I was quite simply gettingkilled a lotby jedi (pre cu)so I wanted to get on an even playing field.And jedi were always in the front of a battlefield and that's exactly where I wanted to be. Then after all the nerfs and the constant grind of jedi templates I decided to leave my jedi and play my unlocked character who was mbh pistols at the time. I don't like the BH npc missions, I guess it bores me very easily and only the determined should get this kind of loot which IMHO is the way it should be. Loot shouldn't come from standing in akuan caves hitting low level mobs or looting the borgle caves. Ive only got my loot for the most part from buying it from credits I made with my chef alt. I have no roleplaying heart or soul as you put it but is that so bad? I only play the game for its great crafting system and it's fantastic pvp And I like some of the pve quests and bunkers. And for me the whole point of the game is to better yourself in whatever you like to do. I never made BH because someone else had it I made BH coz it made my pistoleer stronger. but I admit i'm one of the people you speak of, I have copied peoples templates to stand my ground better in pvp but never asked for nerfs in jedi. I just move from one proff to the other if i feel it isnt effective enough anymore.
I dont think BH will be canabilized tho, at least I hope not.

and maybe im wrong but i really doubt, for some reason, you went and killed jedi as easily and as many as you did ....i think that statement is just a prelude to your "nerf BH" argument and you are using that statement as foundation so people cannot attack your trueagenda .. and cloudtheir ability to see your truemotives and real situation ...im getting the impression with your passion you are a jedi just looking to put other classes further beneath you ...
its easy for everyone to come into the forums and say " i killed every jedi i ever fought with incredible ease" and its another story to go out and actually do it ..

You assume too much again I do kill jedi easily. You act as if you know me but i know you have never once met me. I never once asked for a nerf in thatthread I think you should read it more carefully. I asked for an improvement. I only wish you were on farstar server so I can prove to you how easily I can kill jedi with funki my bh alt.
In fact I'm going to invite you to make a character on farstar and I will meet up with you to prove to you that I am the real deal with no hidden agenda. what do you say? and I am not saying I am amazing at pvp either just saying how easy I find it now. also I would like to say I tried 4 different templates on my jedi not by copying other people by trying new things with my jedi and I am still not happy just yet.
i can make a character but hed be level 1 ...and i aint gonna grind one out to prove a point to you ...
you want to prove a point come to MY server with a character and ill be more than happy to oblige you
if in fact you do kill jedi easily, good for you, many BH dont
if you want to get into challenges let me offer a concrete way for you to prove your statement ...if BH is so overpowered compared to jedi ... why not issue a challenge within your server's forums .. challenge10 full template jedi to the death ... in a 1 vs 1 fight .. if you win 7 out of the ten fights 70% .. your claims that jedi are easily defeated and weak will be respected and i will offer a public denouncement of my accusation that your using such statements to support a nerf thread ...heck if you even manage to beat 50% of the jedi that will show me your claims have some validity
this test is not to embarass you, or force you into a stressfull situation, should you choose to decline i will not bring up the matter again .... what this test IS designed to show you, is just how powerful jedi with equipment and skill really are ...
surely you arent asking to be "balanced" as a BH agaisnt non full templates are you?
and yes the thread was a nerf thread... just because you use words like " balance" and such doesnt make your agenda any different than forumpicketing for nerfs ...
and you can rattle off as many arguments as you want .. you will in no way convince me you arent geared towards jedi and your agenda isnt to weaken non jedi classes .. you have come before into these forums with the SAME bs because your arguments are VERY familiar to me, you dont fool me one bit..
