same hre but even with the xcomponents i looted from bh mission this smuggler wanted 200k a piece so i slaped him and walked off

I got my armor sliced yesterday:

Marauder 6.5k on kin and energy, 6k base

Level 3 AB slice, (2 other level 1 slices, tho they are unimportant for this situation tbh)

When AB worked (only 25% chance of it happening after slice ) I was hit by a good jedi with a good sabre for 800 dmg

When AB was stopped it was more like 350-400 dmg

Thats at least doubling your survivability

All BH's who fight Jedi, you must, must, must get your armor AB sliced

You all are a bit confused me thinks. Here is how the armor break slices affect you and damage. (By the way you MUST have this done to your armor if you intend to fight full templates effectivly) The slice does not resist the special itself. They will slap that on you with no trouble at all and you'll still see that scary little AB icon below your ham. However, with a 75% slice, you will only take 25% of the bonus damage that is caused by being affected by AB. Look at it this way, a Jedi does a set amount of damage without AB. After ABing you, your armor protection reduces by a set %. The slice gives you back 75% of the armor protection you lost when AB was put on you. It so beautiful I'm temped to say its a bit over the top. I've not lost to a single full template mark since upgrading my armor.

Regardless of how it works, you're saving yourself around 400 per hit with a good saber, and that adds up FAST.

In terms of real numbers that you can appreciate--i did some quick comparisons on my last fight with a jedi who hit fairly hard and at first i was saying W-T-F is my armor doing? It is 7004 energy resist (6k elemental) battle armor. It has all been ADK and sliced for 75% armor break reduction. Normally when i get hit, my armor blocks around 52-53% of the damage (looking in the combat log and doing the calculation myself)

This latest time as i examined the combat log--i realized that that 52% had been dramatically reduced to about 43% blockage. It was then i realized that this hit must have been done while i was afflicted with armor break (because other hits later from same jedi blocked 52%)

so it looks like you can expect a 9-10% loss of protection (damage blocked) when you have 75% AB reduction on your armor.--i would be interested to see what UNsliced armor drops too, just to make sure the mitigation is working properly.

From improved Armorbreak and Saber Armorbreak you get 65% extra damage taken, but with 75% AB reduction you take 16% extra (correcting one of the posters, not 25%) which isn't all that critical but just don't let yourself stay KD'd on the ground too long.

I have hunted MANY Jedi since publish 20 when I first got my AB sliced armor, and I already had to repair it and will have to very soon again, 9/10 Jedi I fight uses AB & Powerattack like mad which wears armor very quickly but I survive against them thanks to AB reduction slices.

Well I've seen hits on myself with unsliced armour for around 1000 (give or take a few) when AB is on.

Basically, If you getAB stuck on you ... your fairly stuffed without a contingency plan (like paralyse, concussion shot, disarming shot).

This is pretty much how i die all the time, I have paralyse from CM 1003, but sometimes (almost all the time)due to server side lagor the "you cannot KD recovery while KD" bug I die in about 3 hits after my armour goes down...
