Thread: food for thought
I was having a think about trying to make the demand for food greater heres a few ideas.
Oh course lthe obivious one is to force everyone to eat the higher the food of course the longer you need to go without food, so in effect you would not need to carry so much around. I dont think people would mind this too much either.
Pet Food, I dont quite understand how pets grow but it would seem they should be required to feed and water these animals. Chefs could get a new line to make food for pets, it might not be the most interesting food but it should provide a steady income. Maybe the better the food the fast the animal grows.
Play Illness, I think players should get ill and the food could be used to make them better. The most likely way is certain animal attacks cause a poision attack which has an effect on the body some might simply make the player sick, or slow down or do wounds over time. eating the the right food would stop the effect but doctors would still be needed to cure the people.
I dropped CH, purely to pursue PVP. then realised.
I can have 3 factional guerilla NPCS Challenge level 20. thats literally a near master CH. and i dont have to tame or raise them.
Whats with that?
I've been browsing these Jedi forums for several weeks, reading posts, taking notes, and generally thinking about what has been said. On a lot of posts, people make suggestions, and the next poster will say "Well, if it was that easy, then there will be 50,000 Jedi running around". Then I wonder, have these people read the Devs descriptions of Jedi?
Here is something I want to throw out there, and see if it triggers any thoughts on your part. The FS slot may not be that hard to achieve. I have read all kinds of theorys, and the one i agree with most is the time spent playing theory. It has been stated that every person will travel a different path to open thier FS slot. Opening the slot does not automatically make you a Jedi. It makes you a force sensitive noob. The FS character that you just made is as weak as the character you made the first time you loaded the CD into the hard drive. This FS character is not a mighty Jedi, its not even a Padawan. It has no skills other than being force sensitive. The Devs have also stated that becominga Jedi is gonna be nearly impossible, not because of the lack of FS slots, but because of PERMADEATH, and the time and energy required to become one. It is my theory that the FS slots will be plentiful. Eventually, with enuff gaming time, everyone will get one. BUT, that doesnt make you a Jedi.
Does this make sense to anyone? Do you see where I am going with this? The issue of Permadeath, and the idea of Jedi killing squads, the fact that the FS character will have to level up just like any other character AND also find a Jedi trainer and train under this person(noone knows what this will involve), makes becoming a Jedi an almost impossible mission.
Think about this, and let the flaming begin!!!
I don't quite know what you're getting at, please elaborate.
There *is* a Dev quote somewhere in that list of quotes that says after 3 years 80% of us will have FS slots. Ruminate on that, mix it in with your theory, then explain please...![]()
(Novice Commando)
Commandos learn how to use and create a unique set of weapons -- explosives. Commandos continue to excel at combat, but also specialize in the skills to take down large armored vehicles. The novice commando skill begins this education.
(Ordinance Manufacturer)
Acid Rifle Specialization IV brings the Commando to the point where they can use an Acid Rifle accurately and destructively in a wide number of combat situations. A Commando at this level of expertise can easily dissolve a number of critical points on an enemy's defensive gear to cause as much damage as possible in as short of a time as possible.
(Grenadeer)
Flamethrower Specialization IV brings the Commando to the point where they can use a Flamethrower expertly and with impunity. A Commando at this level of expertise is a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, and should be avoided at all costs.
(Expert Commando)
Heavy Support Weapons IV brings the Commando to a true understanding of how to use heavy weapons in a support role as well as an offensive role. A Commando with this level of training could easily fight their way out of a number of situations that would kill a lesser person.
(Artilleryman)
Field Tactics IV demonstrates to the Commando how a sharp knowledge of the psychology of an opponent is just as valuable in combat as understanding their anatomy and physiology. A cornered Field Tactic Commando should never be underestimated, and should be avoided at all costs unless they are incapacitated or otherwise distracted.
(Master Commando)
The Master Commando learns the last skills needed to complete their specialization in the creation and use of explosive weapons.
So when exactly were we told that our chosen profession would be "a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield" but unable to survive 1 hit, unarmored, or 2 hits with 60% armor from a melee in PvE? The BH tree reads with the same amount of pomp and end all - beat all attitude, does this mean they're next, at least they'll be able to use they're specials from more than 16m. I was heading back to Master Commando for the second time since release until this nerf was stealthed through. I urge any other Commandos who enjoyed soloing occasionally to pick up some CH and Medic skills since the fix to our nerf is still out to committee.

I honestly think that when your char is created and depending on the race/class you initially choose the programmers input a string that tags certain "blocks" in several skill trees (NOT NECESSARILY Master)
All the hints do in my opinion just give you the route to covering up one of those skill blocks. Once all the skill blocks required are covered.. bloop your FS is opened. I feel they need to be all covered simultaniously. This is why I feel noone has unlocked it yet as the combinations required to actually nail it are astronomical.
There are alot of "coders" out there that could see any trails leading to other things/actions/requirements for unlocking the code and its very obvious that its all serverside and it's particular to each individual character This is the only reasonable explination as to why its taking so long and nobody has unlocked it yet. Coding the jedi slot this way is an easy code for developers and randomization is quite huge. I can see it being this way. Probably when your down to your last 1-2 blocks to cover up any holocron will go silent.
just chalk this up to theory 1,000,000,001 lol.. shrugs.
Just my opinion
