what did i gain, well this is where most bh s are to shortsided to see, i now wear a 2000 psg in my mabari belts place, i also have a lot of def inate armor, and force armor which stacks on top of that, and now i am wearing a 2000 psg, that comes with 10 melee accuracy mod.
so basically bh s are doing even less damage to me then before, and at a cost to me thats not even notceable actually.
becareful what you wish for, you might just get it. i dont consider this belt issue a win for bh s, it looks to me like it actually just put psgs around all jedi s waists, 2000 with 10 melee accu mods.
i woyld just like to get your thoughts on this now that the facts are there in black and white.
its late so i read them in the morning, btw, my jedi is hasnt been killed since the cu, and now im wearing a psg for added protection. thanks for caring .
Riiiight. And some Jedi spent upwards of 50 million credits on mabari belts + SEAs because a 30,000 credit PSG is better. That makes perfect sense.
Why is it that people clamor for bug fixes, and when they fix a bug they don't like it?

LOL. Yes they are. What kind of stupid comment is this?

I think that's an absurd comment, but I do agree with it just a *little*.
After playing around a bit, I am now a true believer that Kinetic weapons are the best to deal with Jedi. As a Pistoleer I have two weapons in my arsenal that I am quite proud of...
FWG5 Featherweight
Damage: 935
Speed: 1.85
Sac: 65
Pistol Accuracy: 15
Accuracy Bonus: 34
High Capacity Scatter Pistol
Damage: 915
Speed: 1.89
Sac: 65
Accuracy Bonus: 1
Now even with the amazing accuracy bonus offered by my Featherweight, I have a lot easier time killing a Jedi with my Scatter pistol that is good, but not as good as the FWG5.
At the rate we miss with MLS's and MD's, their PSG's can regenerate fast enough. So with a Kinetic weapon, that's 2000 (1921) less Energy we have to break through and we don't need to worry about regeneration rates.
So I agree partially with the fact that using a Kinetic weapon as your first approach is smart, I don't think it has any reflection on the intelligence of the Bounty Hunter. After all, not all Jedi use PSG's.

Berserker Rifle
Tuskan Rifle
Nyms Slug Thrower Carbine
LD-1 Rifle
Explosive Shell Sniper Rifle
Fwg5 Pistol
All Bowcasters (For you wookiee Types)
Czerka Dart Carbine

Explosive Shell Sniper Rifle
Fwg5 Pistol
All Bowcasters (For you wookiee Types)

And of course….
High Capacity Scatter Pistol
Tell me why exactly I’d be looking at an energy weapon over a any of these crafted and tricked out or Quest reward weapons?
Honestly the only reason I’m peeved about the Mabari Belt is it’s the only belt that looks halfway decent on a female toon /shrug

Your PSG is meaningless to my HC Scatter.

My Nyms slugthrower does 100+ pts more damage per hit than my proton carb.... And that's with both having a lvl 3 damage slice. And my Nyms is a touch faster, and lower sac. AND that proton carb had a damage pup on it when I did testing. So yes, the smart money is on a kinetic weapon.

Well, I'm looking at this from the point of view as a Rifleman BH. To be blunt, the most successful bounty hunters are the ones who wield rifles. This ismostly because no other weapon has the damage output to kill Jedi in large numbers. So, if you look at it from the point of view of a Rifles BH, then the smart BH (if you measure "smart" by choosing a weapon which is undeniably the most efficient for killing Jedi), will be using a rifle. The best kinetic rifle can never come close to the damage output of the best energy rifle ... regardless of whether or not the person being attacked is wearing a PSG. Besides, the protection PSG's provide to its wearer is very very neglible. There is no need to worry about the damage it mitigates. It doesn't matter if a person is wearing one or not.

Don't neccsarily disagree, but there are options out there for a non energy based weapon for most ranged profs they can and do get around a PSG. That was more my point than anything. Then again though Adriana- is a carbineer / BH and I've only ever faced a BH once with a T21. I was wielding the and they went down in a few shots withno sign of PSG.

I'll leave the rifle hunting to the master rifleman and I'll stick with my carbines

Yeah, I want to introduce you to my scatter pistol, and it's not energy based either.

There's more to efficiency than just damage, you know. Your energy rifle does maybe 100-200 points more damage per shot than a Scatter, but how long are you giving your opponent between shots? And how much of your Action bar are those shots using?
