I mean really. It is worse than the dang house exploit. It needs a timer on it like a 30 min cooldown. Should use much more force to maintain also.

pick up cm and hit him with a dot!!!! I think they are working on this though, i know choke will stop them from staying cloaked but not sure if the updated cm to do the same. just keep that jedi closer too you, but not close enough to take damage....its a deadly dance but if you do it right you will get it done :-)

As a BH, I would say force cloak is "working as intended". I'd use a force cloak too if I had it, could have used that against a few Knights so that I could have run away. Not all BH's think jedi's tactics of using legitimate in-game tactics are wrong. Keep on using force cloak, eventually we will get you into combat. Good luck all jedi and BH's.

OK next time I am rooted/KD/and Dazed, and you run out to 80 meters with your snipershot, and cyborg arm Ill just hang out and stand there while you pummle me from a distance I have no hope to close.

Either that or when you try this ill cloak, run up to you, and take the fight back to you.

Cloak is the defense against you being able to shoot me from more than 40 meters from my best attack.

Sounds like you want the easy fight where you can just hang at 80 and root/kd the jedi all day.

go to 80m root/shoot/shoot/shoot get to 80 m again shoot/shoot/shoot/root rince and repeate. You right I should have no defense to this.

That is fine. Do not mind a fight. What i am talking about is these guys that cloak and run. You never see them agian till you find them offline.

It's the decision of the Jedi if they wish to stand and fight you, as it's the hunters choice to have first strike.

Jedi gain nothing by fighting a hunter while the hunter has nothing to lose.

If they spend the SP to get that ability, more power to them.

Learn your own skills and stop complaining about others that have.

Cloak should have a nominal force tick, with added force cost depending on aggro, and stuff. That is JMHO.

When i went to my mark by shuttle and then i saw that my mark was outsideher houseso i went in to attack but she cloak and pulled out her lvl44 Catpet. She would just heal her pet while being cloaked. This went on for like an hour and i was doing area attack which i would also hit her but the cloak wouldn't break. She just would lose health and she would heal it and her pet as well that was attacking me.I used /target name to make sure when i shot her pet that i was line up perfectly then i would area attack her pet and she would also get hit but still stayed cloaked. I also killed her pet so many times i lost count.

Then 30 minutes later she uncloaked cause i made her run into some low lvl creatures mobs in hopes of uncloaking her but her pet got arg by the mobs so she attack 2 of them then i root,kd,startleshot,ad critical, startleshot incapped 2 times before she healed and force ran cause of the hills she cloak. I wasn't able to incap her the last time to complete the mission.

Their was too many small hills and i wasn't able to ahoot her then she said i am going to my friends so she log inside here house.

If it wasn't for the hills she be dead by now and she know it. that why she log out cuase she had a close call there.

Inherent problem is that your cloak is based on the jedi mind trick, which was only used to move past people who HADN'T ALREADY SEEN YOU. It is unreasonable to think that any but the weakest of minds would be able to continue to observe a jedi's presence once the jedi has made itself known to the person. ESPECIALLY when there is hostility between the two. What I think would be fair though if a jedi's cloaking ability still worked in battle, but with a 50-60% chance of working on the people around you and a cool down timer regardless of success or failure to keep a jedi from just hammering it until it sticks. This would allow you to -always- swoop by a BH hunting you that stopped to ask for directions, but would limit some of the general lameness jedi pull with it during combat. As another person has said, if you're going to use it to bring the fight to me (honestly, that wouldn't be necessary in the first place, I'm a pistoleer with a featherweight and a single +5 range arm so I at least have a chance of kiting with my lag) then more power to you, please do. However jedi who use it as the tef-house-exploit level trump card should not be able to use it as effectively to end a battle.

What do you guys think of this proposal?

Me and guildie ran into this last night. My friend (both of us are BH) was searching the Rryat trail looking for a mark he has. As he get's down the webweaver path to where jedi grind but his mark isn't there. He gets the usual /duel /endduel crap as the jedi scatter like roaches do when the lights get turned on. One of the jedi cloaks and starts to follow him back up and finally uncloaks at the top. We get his name and start looking for his mission.

I find it first (180k mission) and head back to Kash. After 15 minutes of searching, my guildie is still looking for his mission and I'm down near the grind area just beyond radar range. Since it's not looking like my friend is gonna find the mission, I burst run in and attack. I get him down to about 20% and he then starts healing and he's trying to fight back but he's not doing enough damage to me. He then runs onto the bridge where you can't "see" him and sits down to start channeling. My buddie has finally found his mission is heading out to Kash. I head back up top as I really don't like hanging around while my mark is exploiting so he can attack me at his pleasure once he has enough force.

I get back up and meet up with my friend. As I'm talking to him, my targeting macro goes off as my mark is now right beside me but cloaked. I can't shoot him but my friend finds out that his CM stuff is working against him. He starts hitting him with paralyze, sets him on fire, poisons him. All the fun stuff. The mark clicks on the door and leaves the trail completely and is now on the main map. We follow him and my friend continues since he won't uncloak. Apparently the jedi has had enough and he goes LD. The problem with going LD is that your macros stop working and you're still in the world for about another 5 minutes (can you guess what happens next?). Now normally I woundn't attack a mark who is LD as it could be network problems or who knows. But this guy used the LOS exploit on me and then tried to taunt us by being "invisible". Well his cloak drops as it the timer expires on it. We unload on him and db him.

So let's see here...

XP loss due to dieing to a bh who has your mission: 360k
XP loss for cloning due to bh death: 200k
Total XP loss: 560k
Payback for being an exploiting jerk: Priceless

Well, when a CL 60 jedi is being attacked by a CL 80 BH, would it make you feel better if he just stood there and died?

There are alot of Jedi who know they have no chance against a decent BH. So things like this help us survive.

Well, considering the targeting while cloaked, as well as the CM attacks while cloaked (unless they are area attacks, I don't know right offhand) are considered bugs, you just admitted to exploiting to kill an exploiter.

Hmm...

It's ok though if a Jedi dies because of it.
