MBH, M pistoleer, Combat Med 4xxx I know that with pistols u have to be at close range but with decent healing, and learning how to use my profession, I think I can earn some respect as a pistoleer MBH. Plus pistols are just sweet heh.

With that template you shouldn't have any trouble except against the master defenders, with all the other jedi templates you should be able to go toe to toe with them, your best friend vs the master ls's will be Intim!

2 words saber throw. You are severly gimping yourself mastering pistols you would be much better off going carbines or rifles.

I tried the bio-warfare line on CM but you have to be too damn close to make that stuff stick, and you cant come anywhere near matching the healing power of a Jedi Defender, and lets face it the healing will save your bacon. The Jedi has to burn Force to heal, you just lose your Mind HAM bar which can be quickly replenished. Every time Mr. Jedi heals, hes losing force for his next attack and wont get it back for a while.
I also tried Master Rifles, but you are not going to kite very long at range because the Jedi WILL get a root on you, and your accuracy will go to hell when he closes, ruining your DPS. Also the heavy hitters of Rifleman require you to be prone and thats no place to be when near a Jedi. You need your DPS for a prolonged, close range fight.
Carbines to me are the right balance of being close but not too close, and are much more accurate at the ranges that you will typically encounter.
Also you can get really nice crafted carbines pretty easy. I have a real nice Elite Carbine I use as well as a nice Laser Carbine. IF you want looted ones, the Proton Carbine is easy to get, as is the Nym's Slugthrower and both do elemental damage.
The stinky part is you have to use Battle Armor thus reducing your energy damage resists that you had with Recon.

Diminishing returns makes it so that 7k en resist and 8k en resist are only a few percentage points apart in terms of how much damage they absorb. So high en recon is not necessarily worlds better than high en battle.

So ur telling me a pistoleer can't beat a Jedi, well guess what, if thats the case, then I will have to be good at what I do and if that means I'll have to be the best I will. If I die everytime I fight a Jedias a pistoleer MBH it will be my choice but I will be the deadliest Pistoleer MBH there is. If it takes me forever to beat a Jedi, at least it will teach me how to use my skills to their fullest and when u know how to use ur char and have him mastered, u can beat anyone on any given occasion. But I want to be a MBH pistoleer because I want to be the best at what I do and I like pistols more than the other ranged weapons so I guess I will have to die by the pistol as well and I'm sure I will but, there will be a time when I will win when the odds are against me and that is what I want, to be the underdog makes u avery dangerous foe, very dangerous indeed.

yes, you will have a hard time getting out of his range only using pistols.... however, staying out of range with carbines will be very difficult as well since you will be running a bit slower than the jedi can.
If a Jedi is rooted and 32m away from you, sure he can use sabre throw.
He cannot - Dervish, Leg hit, body hit, Head hit (very damaging specials)
- saber break (increases damage on next attacks)
- KD (unless MLS)
So you will still be able to lower his damage output by kiting, even if you are within saber throw range.
I would, however, suggest you try the ranged arms with this template.
Edit - Oh, and if you go against a Jedi with supression, you'll be able to tank him better than any other BH in the game (save for maybe MBH / MDoc).

You just copied my template and it workes for me
, but you are not too effective in PVP combat without the help of a droid or pet
. I like the template but would have liked carbines better.

Im MBH/MP/CM4xxx and enjoy it. There is more to a template than what is FOTM. If you enjoy it, use it! I olay the game to RP not to pwnz j00 n00b crap like many others. Use the temp you enjoy. The jedi that gives me the hardest time is MDEF. I enjoy the fights I have and love using pistols. Good Hunting!

Kiting using carbineer is cake. Crippling shot = snare, when that wears charge shot em, when they get up crippling shot again. You can do this all day long. I've kited MDEF/MLS for 45-70 mins with this tactic, eventually you wear them out. You also have great damage specials like legshot and critical shot. You really can't go wrong with having carbineer in a BH template. It's a nice balance between rifles and pistols and seems best suited against any melee profession including Jedi. lack of recon armor won't really matter as you will find you won't be getting hit very often.
