Thread: Player bounties....
...If you DB 5 players of a given faction, that faction automatically issues a player bounty for you collectable by any MBH. For every 5 players you DB the bounty increases. Bounty hunters player kills should also be considered....if I collect 5 bounties on imperial players (placed by the rebellion) then the empire should issue a bounty for me, again collectable only by MBH's. This would both allow for player bounties and allow BH's to take part in the GCW. Several BH's should be allowed to compete for the same player bounty, the hunter making the kill (DB) getting the reward. Upon cloning the player who was killed is offered the option of increasing any generated bounty from his/her bank account.
Bringing in healing, Stim / wound A's and tracking into the invest tree with player tracking at MBH would do the trick.
Consider....allowing a bountied player the option of 'clearing' his bounty with faction points.
You have some good ideas there. However I cant help but feel that our proposals are going to be pointless.
If any dev is reading this, or if wepps could put something forward. Is there every any REAL chance at getting a player bounty system officiall implemented? Do we have any sort of glimmer of hope at having a player bounty system added to the game in the near future. I honestly wouldnt mind the current investigation problems, broken marks and poor payout of missions if at master BH we got to do player bounties. I am sure alot of other dedicated Bunty hunters feel the same way.
Please can we have any sort of response on this? Is there a chance? At all? If there isnt then please tell us and we will stop wasting our time at coming up with good ideas for a player bounty system.
Shame that a pistoleer/smuggler or pistoleer/BH would now make a much better Bounty Hunter. How sad would it be for a BH to go and TRY to fulfill a Player Bounty only to get shelaqued by the mark?

well, I hunt everyone...from lowlvl to the knights...I switch from time to time.
but, the fact is...hunting a static AI spawn which just stands in the middle of Endor is no fun!!!!
the NPC stands there....oh no...he 'walks', few shots later and the bounties is collected...it's just no fun.
they should add 'normal' players on the terminals besides BHs. Players who destroy factioned AI or facilities for example. they choose to be part of the GCW, so let them have it. Especially perfect with factioned missions on the terminals soon. and a full template non-jedi char can also be a tough challenge.

Just add bounty hunters who fail or abort a mission to the terminals. Shouldn't be any complaints from them, they're in it for the PvP anyway. And, it makes perfect sense from a roleplay standpoint. "You've failed me for the last time," and all that.
That a good idea but I dont think it well go over well with the BH commuinty that they would *gasp* be hunted..Ive played the proffesion off and on now for a longg time I seen people come and go..but the majority of BH's have thesame mentality it a great Idea if there the one doing the shooting...give the rabbit the gun then all sudden it not fun anymore
