Hey guys, i need your help. I was taking a break when the bomb droids came out, and I haven't even tried them yet.
How have you guys used them? how are they most effective? Are there macros that make them easier to use?
Also what is a good bomb "strength" ?
I just don't know anything about the little guys.
Thanks for your help.

Some like em some dont. IMHO they are a must have, the explosion goes completely thru jedi tuffness and force armor. You can detonate them from FAR away, the blast radious is around 35 meters.

Thanks Magnussoc.
Will the blast radius damage others if they are in a group or only whoever we target?

It will only hit targets that are agressive towards you, and since the bomb droid is usually the first shot, no, it won't damage the group.
What I did is I programmed my bomb bots to FOLLOW TARGET when I say Hey, and I made a macro that goes
Hey;
Hey;
pause 20;
/det;
so you click on your target, select the macro, click your bomb droid, and wait. Bomb droids are really easy to use.

I love them
they work great for getting a jedi out of a cantina. I dunno, it might be my luck, but i get alot of jedi in cantinas, so here is what happens.
I walk in, attack, get TEFed out
I tell the jedi to come out
The jedi laughs ( some come out, but not most )
I take out a exploding advand R3, send it in, and detonate it, it incaps the jedi, say in Spatial "one"

I take out a exploding advand R3, send it in, and detonate it, it incaps the jedi, say in Spatial "two
now, i take out another exploding advanced R3, have it Stay at the enterence of the cantina, then i say
"Three is on its way if you dont come out"
at that point, most jedi come out and fight, or try to run, they dont wanna die to tripple incap, same as i dont really wanna tripple incap them.
Also they might be good for getting jedi out of water in much the same way, i tried to do that today, but i lost the TEF, so i couldnt test it.

That woudl works only on not buffed jedi. In my experience I saw only not buffed one.

Personally I love bomb droids (when they work hehe). At the moment I only have mouse bomb droids, but they are fast, and if the Jedi is distracted e.g. if he is killing mobs etc. he won't see it coming. Its a nice first hit taking off points all along the HAM bar. From my experience they give u a better chance of a win, rather than being dead in less than 2 mins!

Unfortunately, mouse droids become a disappointment for me. I am 'lucky' enough to encounter padawans who are close knight status and 1 mouse droid explosion is just 1 force heal for them and they can do many more. R2 are the way to go bu tonly when the mission payouts will be fixed...

Wow I kinda wish I'd known that damage number a few minutes ago.
Out of 8 missions, I FINALLY found one who wasn't in the Village, in the Dark Jedi Bunker, or in a house.
Tracked him down to find it was he and 2 of his buddies, just hanging out and goofing off, unbuffed, unarmoured and unworried.
'Wow, what's the blue stuff around your feet?'
'Wow, you're a Jedi? I've never gotten this close to one of you guys before.' (This was true)
So he whips out his saber and duels one of his buddies for a bit, who gets several hits in, knocking his health down to about 600 or so. It's at this point I ponder my droids in my pack, but I thought, nahhhh, won't work.
If I'd only known...
As it was, his buddies ran off, leaving us in the bottom of the dungeon, where we decide to log, at which point I say, 'Hey man, lemme tell you somethin'...I came here to kill ya.'
We both have a good laugh, then we duel where I fall QUICK (I was unbuffed and wounded too, in no shape to hunt, but I was past the point of obstinance by this time.) He hangs around 'till I revive, we walk up front, laugh and chat a bit, /bow and log.
All in all, while a failed mission, it was my first, and I think we both enjoyed it.
In parting I remarked, 'Hey...next time, it's on, ok?'
'Cool.'

yep and you dont get agrod after useing them, im not sure about a TEF.
but you should always use a good Bomb droid to start the attack.
