Thread: Im tired of low or no investigation BH's getting good loot when we have to travel everywhere

So im droping all my investigation in order to get the easy drops untill they nerf it so that the masters only get the good loot. And since i have 60k of banked investigation i wont have any trouble re learning it once they switch it to master. Hell if you cant beat them.. join them!

They are moving boss marks to MBH...
If you drop down to Novice BH with 60k of Invest XP banked, you will lose anything above the requirement for Invest 1 once you train it.

It doesn't matter if they are moving boss marks to Master box...this doesn't solve the problem that novice BH's are still getting good loot. I personally have gotten better loot from lower level marks than bosses.

What? No argument? A master bounty hunter will have to take out elite and boss marks and spend time flying from planet to planet while someone with novice BH and an otherwise full template can stay right on Corellia and get the same loot from novice marks? How is that not an argument?
I was under the impression that the higher end loot was going to be tied to boss marks and that master bounty hunters were the only ones to have access to those marks. All this does is move bosses to master bounty hunter with no change in the loot.

bottom line-
a novice bh should not get good loot more consistently and easier than a MBH.They currently do,as long as the player is over level 75.
Tapes and weapon components should only have a chance to drop from boss level marks,period.
Invest 3-MBH should be the only ones having a chance at boss level marks w/ chances increasing the higher your level in investigation is.

No flame at all taken i am just droping this for a lil bit so i can get some more decent loot. I for one looooove to be MBH. Its the one thing i like the most out of this game despite its flaws and such. I have been playing for over a year now and love it. I just am droping the investigation for a lil bit to build up my bank accoung. and i would never ever want a nerf. Anyways i just posted this cuz i got tired of looting jars of bugs off the boss marks and not getting anything good for a good 2 weeks. Granted its all random but still. I was just venting some frustration.

Who cares if novice guys get good loot too? Well, you do I guess but why? How does it affect the MBH if a NBH gets good loot? I hate it when profs scream nerf other profs, now we got profs screaming nerf my prof.

boss mark don't drop anything worth keeping. I've done undreds of npc missions since the new loot and haven't gotten jack from boss marks. i got killer loot from the low end npcs before they took those away from MBH now i get crap. I've done 300 BH missions this week and haven't gotten anything worth keeping. all bugs and smuggler loot

From the Publish 21 Patch Notes...
Profession: Bounty Hunter
• Significantly altered NPC bounty mission NPC's and Loot. The higher the level of the Bounty Hunter increases the chance of seeing a higher level or Elite Mark. Master Bounty Hunters who are also greater than level 75 will have a small chance to draw a Boss Mark. The difficulty of the Mark will determine the quality of loot and chance of the loot to drop.

First, my points made previously are not a cry for a nerf, it is a argument to make the game the way they tell us it is suppose to work. Read and reread the patch notes. The system is not working the way it is suppose to.
Second, there are two people on this very thread...the author being one of them...who are going to novice bounty hunter just so they can farm more loot. And there are tons of others either taking novice BH or dropping down to it for the very same reason. The system is not working like it is suppose to.
Third, not everyone plays the game for the PvP aspects, so playing their MBH as a jedi hunter is not an acceptableoption. It's like me telling you that since you are a MBH that you shouldjust stick with jedi missions and leave the NPCs to me. Regardless of the fact that 80% of these boards have to do with the Jedi vs. BH PvP realm, there are actually some bounty hunters who could care less about doing jedi missions.
Lastly, the economy is suffering with the flood of loot coming from the low end of the profession. Don't get me wrong, it was bound to change over time even with the MBH changes. But this change is seemingly overnight. A novice bounty hunter should not have the same loot opportunity as a MBH. I just don't see the logic in that from anyone, even from people within my own profession. Where is the incentive to become a MBH with the looting system?Unless you want to hunt jedi, there is none. Thatis why some people are actually dropping to novice.
