Thread: Most Overused, Overpowered, Gamebreaking Mechanic, You Guessed it.....Cloak!!
and cloak is getting nerfed to uselessness, so is fr. soon you will have your wish, and any jedi caught outside a house (which will be very few) will have no way to escape. won't that be fun?

I LET them get away from me, either through bad planning or bad tactics. Itis what it is though. They got away, and I lost money. Just fuels me and makes me more determined to engineer a better plan to take em out!

I think alot of Bounty Hunters aren't looking at the big picture here though. Jedi Cloak vs Bounty Hunters works fine to me. If they can get out of range, and cloak, then they get away, and I try again. What's the big deal with that?
Jedi Cloak vs PvE... not that's another matter. Cloaked Jedi are able to slip through security doors in the DWB, they are able to loot containers while cloaked on the Avatar.... but the biggest one I don't understand is.... Ifa PLAYER character cannot "see" or even detect a cloaked Jedi, how is it that an npc can? How is it than an ENITRE base full of npcs can and will detect/aggro a cloaked Jedi and chase them around when players cannot do the same? It doesn't make sense to me.
I think all the "fixing" that cloak needs is to preclude the possibility of manipulating objects like a container, while cloaked, and stop them from being able to pass through secruity doors while cloaked, and stop npcs from aggro'ing them while cloaked. Those things are FAR more "gamebreaking" than getting away from me when I hunting them.
