I am Going to co MC/MBH, and I am very apprehensive about taking this, but I feel it is going to give me the best combo of damage and range from my mark. I am just curious how many MC/MBH there are out there. I am also curious as to what kind of tactics you use when taking down jedis. Thanks for your response.

I'll ocassionaly practice with a fellow guildie who's a MBH/Carb with some healing and it seems that he has an issue in dealing dmg to me. Not sure if it's his tactics or just that I have a strong build.

I've made him an E11 over 1k dmg with low action cost to assist with his dmg output. He also wears armor with an energy rating around 6k.

I would suggest gett armor with energy over 7k and getting it sliced for armorBreak resistence.

My Jedi: LM, Defender 4044, Healer 4000, Enhancer 3002, I do not wear Bio-clothes and will use exo-protien wafers to assist with long term confrontations.

If you're curious, there's a pic of My main in my sig titled "Pick Me!!"

Yes MCarbs/MBH/CM 4000 is a good template.

Damage isn't really the problem.

The problem you are going to run into is the imbalance between rifles and other ranged weapons. Pure and simple. If you are going to hunt Jedi, then you are going to have to live with a 15m spread. Jedi can attack up to 35m (assuming there are no lag issues messing this up). With your Carbine you are capped at 50m. That gives you a 15m window to try and stay out of the Jedi's range.

Not easy!

Also, if you are going to hunt Jedi (or PvP on a regular basis) then Damage is not the most important aspect. The name of the game POST CU is healing. The ability to heal is significantly greater then the ability to inflict damage.

25m is the Jedi range, not 35m.

It's a very solid template. I can deal tons of damage in short amounts of time (my gun is 1046 damage, 1.3 speed, 57 SAC after SAC PuP) and the heals are awesome.

Saber throw has a range of 35 meters.

Hmm, I am pretty sure Saber Toss is effective up to 32m (I rounded to 35 to be safe).

I have MBH/MCarb/4000Cm and it works fantstic, 2 KDs, snare, and 2 solid dmg attacks make it a viable solution. Throw down some Blob Candy for action regen and maybe a Bofa treat for Health. I find that I rarely need to eat mind food.

I currently use 2 different carbines, I have the Proton Carbine and the recentlyrewarded Soecial Ops Carbine - both sliced and with a +32% speed PuP my DPS is coming in around 850. With an 85SAC I can usually deal alot of damage quickly and make quick work of most mobs and many jedi.

My template is that too, and it's pretty good.

Im MC/MBH/Pistols 0003 and Master Marksman (yes NO healing) and I still kill full temps, my tactic is just to hold them at least 33m from me so they cant use saberthrow

I usaly do aim/states/root/adv ctr/legshot and then when its like 2-3sec left on the root I kd and finsish them. works good for me but if the root misses then Im to 95% dead

So I can say that my tactis is just to do as much dmg as possible when I attack my mark and then if he isnt dead after 1-2mins then I usally lose but this tactic works good for me and Ive got more completed mission than faild missions so far

Doesn't matter if you have two KD's. You should just be using Charge shot since it's higher damage then Underhand shot. You cannot spam both attacks and keep your opponent down repeatedly. There is an ingame timer which disallows this.

Carbineers have the best KD attack and Snare attack for ranged gun professions.

Rifleman's advantage besides the obviousare /Startleshot, probably the best range gun special due to the 6 second stun until they take damage. This is very handy when Jedi are trying to spam heals and the stun disrupts and throws off their timing.
