Yeah, a lot of BH's are happy that there will be less Jedi or temped jedi. But they fail to realize that to get to Master BH it's gonna take some poor Novice BH the same time it would take a pre-pub 22 Jedi to grind out a full temp. For any profession this is simply just ridiculous.
I know SOE wants to limit Jedi, but this is out of hand. Just add like 2 or 3 more village phases or something. I dunno.
A lot of people are saying, well this is to balace xp to how it was pre-CU. There's no way it's even remotely even. Back then I could sit in the middle of like 6 mokk shaman and use swordman spin attack and get like 4500 xp a kill, and kill them all at once. The result would be about 25k or so xp a minute. Now by myself, even with a very strong template, it takes me about 30 seconds+ to killjust onelevel80-82 mob.

Errr nope... all the posts say solo is the same as before so it will take the same amout of time to do solo!
You can still use AoE attacks, you'll still kill em all.
I've posted this somewhere else already, but the idea of a 5k kill solo being worth 10k to a 2 man group was stupid to begin with, no wonder noobjedi were temping up so fast, just before it seemed to be damage related again wich was a step forward.
This new fix is the way it should have been all along. I remember over 15 months ago feelin a sense of pride gettin my skill boxes, now you have people whining that they cant get to an elite profession really quick? Post CU i mastered carbs and x431 pistols in a week with the previous stupid xp system. I say this is an exelent change. More in line with any other RPG. Where being in a group makes combat easier and hence you gain less XP.

I agree with you...if we're being forced to group via the CU, we should still get the xp like we would if we were fighting solo...since it's not practical to fight solo...

First - CU pretty much ended solo combat grinding. Oh you can do it but it will take you 5 times or longer than with a group.
True - ended solo grinding - for people that didn't know how to play their temp, it took me 1 session gameplay to get used to the changes and I've been killed far less now than i did pre CU, where my specials killed me quicker than the target did.
It takes longer to solo grind now because you have to pick off equal cl mobs one at a time rather than all at the same time. If you want to kill multiple mobs at a time then pick a target that is green or blue. Or kill Malock's(sp?) on Dath only 7k health, CL75 you can get lairs at a time with an AoE, they only have 7k health and are Melee. Easy.
Second - All the new (post cu) content besides BH NPC missions are designed to do be done while grouped.
Nope - it is not all designed to be grouped otherwise it would need to be done grouped and although i've not done all of the Wook/Clone relicsquests, i've done most. Solo.
Third - If you think there's not enough time spent grinding now try grinding fs xp with 30:1 combat exchange. I've been averaging 90K Combat Prowl xp a night in a good group (visiting the village twice). Do you have any idea how long that will take you just to fill up on branch?
30 - 1 Combat excahnge - yeah that sucks and i think that was an attempt to slow the massive jedi influx after the CU and 2x XP weeks that saw me cap Combat XP in a week?! (and yes i was in a group carving through lairs in seconds)
Forth - With the game changing and making some templates weaker and some stronger do you really think someone is going to keep playing SWG if it takes them weeks to regrind a profession because their profession was just nerfed?
I chose my profession because i want to play a BH, and i like Carbs. Not to get the FOTM uber template.
Fifth - You learn more hunting with other professions than you do by yourself. Even fighting with members of your own profession can give you experience seeing how different techniques work.
Possibly - and in real life yes, but you dont learn x2 - x8 as much. "Too many cooks spoil the broth!"
I will omit all the other reasons on how your thinking is flawed and not based on how the game is designed to work. I think you get the point
The game (in my "flawed" thinking)is designed to work around proffession interdependancy.Problem is that Jedi dont need anyone, crafters have been nerfed - loot better than crafting, crafting caps not linked to resource quality, the total lack of need for dancers/musicians/docs. Not with eliteCombat profs actually taking some time to get.
