well i was messin around with some jedi buds when we started dueling, well (set your chat in ctrl-o and scroll to the bottom and select verbose combat messeges and check it all) after a while i noticed i wasnt doing as much to them as some normal people and i check the log and it shows "you hit jedi for650 points of energy damage. jedi absorbs 450 points of damage of a possible 1000 points of damage" i just noticed this. i asked around and its called inate armor. jedi get +20 at initiate and a total of 60 at Mdefender. just wondering if anyone else has seen this or heard of it because to me this cleans out one jedi excuse "whine: well we dont have armor".

He might have had a PSG on also as they are now not classed as Armor Jedi can wear them

IF his/her defenses are greater than you attack rating your damage will be less too.
not sure about the ratio but i have noticed it depending on the clothes and or if jedi defender 0/0/2/0 runnign against a melee mob.
I think the same woudl work against your ranged damage.

The robes dont grant protection... at least not the ones from the first levels, they only give +10 Agility.
Your only protection is the different types of "CoB"/"Force Aura" you get as your progress.

jedi no longer have resistance because theres no melee in the game anymore and saber block is now a ability that makes you completely invulnerable to ranged attacks while active.

Because every profession use armor wich protects them, except for crafters and Jedi.
