Situation-

Guildmates aregrinding XP in the Geo caves. There is a Jedi in the bugged Merc room killing everything and my friends want the Jedi gone so they can have the room for themselves. So I take the Jedi mission and head out to Yavin. I group up with my friends and we start to attack the Jedi. The Jedi is grouped and peaces. The Jedi's group then starts to attack me and I attack back so my group can kill his group. Jedi runs out of the caves and gets away. We make our way out of the caves and I loose track of the Jedi. I launch a droid and wait for the waypoint.

While I am waiting for the waypoint, my group finds the Jedi and kills him. I show up at the corpseas the Jedi gets rezed. I still have the mission because I didn't get the deathblow. I have TEF on the Jedi and now the doctor. What am I suposed to do now? Cancel the mission or complete it?

If I kill him to complete the mission is that griefing?

In my opinion, no. You didn't complete your mission so its all fair. The Jedi rezed and therefore its all you. If you dont take him and the Doc out then the Jedi will continue to do it over and over again.

You pulled the mission the Bounty is yours to collect. So is the way of the universe.

You have a job to do. Until you complete your mission, it does not matter how many times he dies, you must follow through with it.

You have the mission still then the mark is still a legitimate target.

Its when you no longer have a mission but still have TEF that it starts to corss the line.

finish the job, its not griefing that your buds killed him.

however I would go after the Jedi before the Doc as the jedi is your mark not the doc.

Unless you personally delivered the deathblow when your group killed him, not griefing if you kill the jedi, and kill the doc too .

If your friends killed him he didn't lose any xp, just his buffs. Therefore I think he can handle one more death by you. Another ten minutes in the merc room and he'll be back to where he was before.

There's a crew that keeps the jedi mission by having group members db jedis instead of the BH in order to cause max xp loss - if you were doing that, I'd call it griefing. Your situation, no way, you had to kill him - tell him you were just doing your job.

well...you did say that all you wanted to do was get him out of the room so your friends could have it for themselves...that was accomplished was it not? But have a little dignity and fight you marks one on one...whatever you decide...

One on One, so the jedi's groupies can kick the crap of the BH while he's trying to do his job? Jedi are the ones that are supposed to have honor and dignity not the BH.

Hell of a thing, killin' a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.
Yeah, well, I guess he had it comin'.
We all got it comin', kid.

Somebody else got em, therefore, you're mission is still active. Ice the Jedi, ignore the doc.

I hate seing that attitude, that says to me you want BH and jedi at equal combat levels.

Sorry but... Are you having a laugh? jedi vs BH 1 on 1, noo way, and dignity while fighting, nope not one of the things to do on my agenda - kill the jedi using whatever means necessary.
