I realize there is a similar post discussing various bounty hunter mixtures, but that post, besides being very long, seemed to be directed more towards already complete bounty hunters discussing the benefits and drawbacks to their chosen profession mixtures. I'm barely a novice bounty hunter, and I have no idea what to add......which is why I'm making this post.
I want a tough bounty hunter. I don't need to be uber powerful, but I want to be a considerable threat. I figured the best way to achieve this was to add another combat profession to bounty hunter. Originally, I was going to be a TKA, but I decided to add a ranged combat profession to save skill points. After reviewing the three elite professions, I decided that Pistoleer wasn't my style. That decision left me with rifleman and carbineer. As both require similar skills, I decided to wait before making selecting one over the other. I then began considering a suitable minor profession to undertake. After some discussion and debate, I decided on learning various medic skills. I thought my problems were solved; I was wrong. I began to see and hear of various, successful bounty hunters who had no other combat classes!!! This brings my problem to light: what is a decent add-on to bounty hunter.
I know the primary decision is playing preference, but I have never mastered or even come close to mastering any elite class. Would doctor or combat medic be a more suitable profession than rifleman or carbineer? Should I completely bypass a combat profession and go for weaponsmith, musician, or bio-engineer. Perhaps another heavy combat class such as commando or squad leader would be the best choice. Furthermore, if ranged combat is the best path, than how well developed should marksman be? After all, there is little sense in having excellent rifle, carbine, or pistol moves if there is little skill bonuses enhancing them! Any help....

That does sound decent, but what professions focus on accuracy and speed. From what I've read and seen, accuracy belong to rifleman and speed belongs to pistoleer. Which profession has both? Do you mean to master both? Are there others?

One other thing I wanted to add: please give an explanation to why a certain profession works, and which profession(s) provides your suggested style. I don't mean to be abutt. However, the more information I have, the more precise my decision will be.

To be epitome in your ranged attack master as many ranged skills as you can... and forget about others. Just master what you WANT first ie MBH or whichever you'll see BH has alot of accuracy and speed mods in there. Then look at what you can learn and choose from the best mods you can. Top this off with a krayted/ADK'ed all purpose weapon and your set to hunt.

my experiance has been mbh/master commando/medic + ruby bliel and stims are best. DoT's from commando weapons are awesome, and it makes a nice PVP template since you can quickly area KD/snare a crowd. You WILL need to heal, because the DoT's take time, and you can't flight forever. I've noticed what works best is an opening snare equipting your favorite rifle, run in with flamethrower, set fire, run back, equip said rifle, and flight like hell. Heal when needed, and keep applying roots/kd. The fire DoT will constantly wear down the mark, usually countering infusion atleast, and you will be firing away with a rifle (hopefully) at a safe distance. This is my strategy with my alt and it has worked well for me, anyway.

"oh, was i on fire, sorry, my jedi teacher taught me stop/drop and roll" lol
Just playing though, definatly not a bad template idea, definatly more interesting then the standard templates you see every day
