I just bought a combat droid with these stats.

all ham 3.1k

all resists (yes all) 40

damage 161

Now the best (valid) nonch pet i ever seen

has

10k health ham

5k action ham

5k mind ham

60 kinetic resists (rest vul)

130 damage

This combat droid is much better than any nonch pet that can be made...

not the ham but the damage and all the other resists.

I am sure if a Master BE were to makea nonch pet with all resists at 40 the ham

would be 500 or so

I have two points to make here.

1. The devs said they would make the nonch pets weaker (nerf) to match the combat droids in the dev interview.

So does this mean that our nonchpets will suffer another nerf and the combat droids remain the same?

Or will both combat droids and nonch pets be nerfed to be more equal?...obvously they are not equal as of now...

2. Once word gets out that combat droids can be this uber...why would any one buy a nonch pet from us?

If we lose the market of nonch pets then we dont have much left to make money with...the pet stim will be useless...and

since the master ch is basically nonexistance now (have not sold a ch pet in weeks) we only have the tissues we sell tochefs and

tailors left to make money.

I have been a Master BE for a long time and I just want us tobe treated fairly(yay when have we been)

So the BE pet has 3 times the Ham and 60% kinetic as opposed to 40%

Considering that the main use of these pets is probably tanking animals for Marksmen how exactly is the BE one worse?

Well I would say for one reason is because you can pump droids out of a factory all day long for one, so whats the the point of wasting hours to collect dna and then hopefully craft a decent pet if your lucky. Plus on our server theyre building droids with 5-6k hams

that 40% is a display bug, the resists are only 20%

also the LE Repair Droid has almost 6k HAM, just much lower dmg

quit whining.... droids are finally comparable to nonch pets, but BE's can sell mounts to anyone and much stronger pets to creature handlers..... DE's don't have that luxury

Actually droids are supposed to be better than our non-ch pets. Non-ch pets are supposed to be cl 10, the best droids are cl-18

yea but they still can control...like my lvl 19 probe droid...i still use it... even though im non CH (not anymore) i still DO use it.... and i still can... so droid CL dont matter methinks

The DPS (damage per second) of droids is far better than any NONch, also, droids have resists across the board, where as, even "uber" nonCH only have kinetic resists, consider that droids are NOT using a kinetic attack, but energy (not sure what it is, but its not kinetic)

on a 1 v 1 situation droids aregoing tobeat NONch everytime..Droids use (most likely) energy attack, and their DPS is twice is much as an "uber" NonCH

Ive picked up som CH again to test this while havin both pets out, in the field, hunting, my CL9 cat 8k,5k, 3k ..45% kin <--i know not the best

last far longer than hte 4600 HAM droid

final thought:

1v1 Droid wins..because of its higher DPS and NON kinetic attack

PvE NonCH wins...higher HAM and higer KIN resist, the NONch pet will tank longer than any droid

i just woke up, so i hope this is coherent

From what I can see in the numbers, the key here is specialization. If you are doing PvE (PvCreature, specifically), the BE CL6 HyperCat (yeah, CL6. When I peeled off the armor and blast resistance of my gen 1, it dropped 20 CLs. Go figure.)is going to be the companion of choice because creatures categorically do kinetic damage. So, 10k health and 60% damage resistance is very handy.

If you are doing PvP, what's the point of either one? Most PvPers have uber armor against both kinetic and energy. If they're playing smart, they'll ignore the nuisance and go for the owner.

If you are doing PvNPC, go with the droid.

Without elite professional skills (not 1337 professional skilz), you're not going to have one ally that is the "best" answer for every situation. Gotta pick the best tool for the job.

When it comes down to it pets are for tanking and droids are for damage.
Why you'd want extra damage I'm not sure but I'm no fighter

DURING combat.. I can heal my pet.

you can heal droids during combat, but you cant make the stims, a DE has too

*cough* i know about droid stims...... i thought he was implying there was some bug where droid stims didn't work DURING combat
