more than just ham is calculated when determining cl
these creatures have very slow attack speeds at very little dmg to begin with.... many vulnerabilities and hardly any resists even if they do
although this system should weigh ham a lot more when determining cl i should think
Is it more powerful than the devs intended?
Yes, the devs are still working through the system and deciding what limits they want to apply to BE creations.
Are there bugged combinations for non-CH pets?
Yes, 10k HAM, 60% Kinetic resists and 100+ damage are craftable and the combinations were discovered through accidents, not by using knowledge and experience of the system to refine a clone to exact requirements.
The secret to raising HAM that high in a non-ch clone is to lower the aggression and psychology stats as much as possible, whilst raising the HAM stats
but that is not to say that is how all those kinds of pets are made, just occasionally there is abreakthough, even in failure.
other than that the system is very flexible for those willing to go foward and put the extra effort to make there clones.

Spazzers, you know I feel your pain as I already posted a week ago.
What is disappointing is that the Devs specifically told Talthazar that there would be no new pet checks...so they obviously either lied to him intentionally (seems hard to believe) or else they modified the code unintentionally (seems more believable but still funny).
If I was Talth I would be ticked off - I put my name on the line and tell everyone something and then you make a liar out of me.
Oh and my 10k HAM 60% monstrosities are still valid. Go figure.

Hopefully the creature handlers will get involved and help us get a working clone system.

Its very clear. Making 10K HAM CL10 animals negates the need to become a novice creature handle especially if you throw in a kinetic resist. I get a nice pet with the expense of zero skill points. Bye bye creature handlers.

Because we don't seem to have a correspondent anymore, or at least one that is remotely active on our forum, it only makes sense that the creature handler correspondent bring the issue to their dev since this directly impacts their profession. There are more creature handlers than there are of us and they are very vocal. They've already been nerfed multiple times. Why not just kill them off all together with high HAM animals available to everyone?
What would you do if droid engineers were able to make their battle droids with 10K HAM andresists available to anyone who wanted to buy one? Pretty much kills the non-creature handlercritter market and directly impacts your profession. Would you just sit on your hands and do nothing about it?
I have a dumb question, but I don't know. Actually 2 questions.
Where does the pet check occur? When you create the pet or when someone goes to call it?
If it is the latter, that is just stupid.
Does the CL check actually affect CH only pets as well or just non-CH?
