The pet check doesn't occur until the animal is tamed which yes, is very stupid.

Yes, the pet check effects every animal a bio-engineer makes regardless of the creature level. The reason you hear more about the non-creature handler animals is because the uber freaks still work and the normal 2K HAM get declared invalid and changed to 900 HAM.

Bingo. It puts every animal on a vendor at risk. I've spent the last couple of days on the CH forum since I'm a master CH as well. Many creature handlers are saying they won't purchase a BE pet until the validity issue is resolved.

The only up side is only 1/3 of the player base ever reads the forum. The bad side is there are a bunch of players out there that will never understand why the pet they just purchased doesn't work.

My account is set to expire soon, so here's my recipe (from memory, so might have a mistake):

Gen1 - filters out all but kinetic resists = teen level pet with modest kinetic resist and ham

Merek harvester

voritor dasher

voritor dasher

voritor dasher

arachne warrior

Gen 2 - low 20s pet with armor, high ham and kinetic resist only (I've gotten as low as lvl 14 armored pet with careful experimentation)

merek harvester

gen1

gen1

gen1

merek harvester

Gen 3 - non-ch pet, lvl 2-10 with 8-10k HAM, 40-60 kinetic resists

gen2

gen2

yard trash (kaduu, womp rat, whatever)

yard trash

yard trash

Makes high ham, high kinetic resist pets. The other resistances are all vulnerables, and the to hit and attack speed are awful. The low 20's level pets are good forarmored trios for a master ch.

Enjoy.

Meanwhile people that craft animals with 2K HAM, low resists and damage are having them declared invalid by the new pet check. Tell methat's "working as intended."

It is worse than that, my jax had less than 1300 in every stat, one digit resists, and low attacks. It went from Lv 9 to 12, making it useless to me. On a newbie alt, it was a major loss.

I'm not a BE, just a customer, and feel completly ripped off by SOE (not the BE). This is as bad as the vendor bugs and poofing houses for a new character who wanted to use a pet for advancement. Fortunately, I could afford a replacement, but it takes time to wait for him to grow.
