I am a Rebel. Having a faction means you understand that you are playing a harder game. Folks who join a faction for the novelty of it will certainly be more distraught by the outcome of their trivial choices.
There are many crafters who chose faction for reasons and understood the choice.
Good sir, if you enjoyed being a Bio Engineer and enjoy playing under a faction, I hope you know you do not have to chose one or the other.

Well said, but the problem is that I am always alone, and if I get scanned, and there are IMP players around I am dead. I guess I should have clarified better, this is more the last straw kind of thing. I have never wanted any part of merchant, but could not get the time of day from any to sell my pets. I have 143 on my vendor right now.I don't like being out in the wild not being able to support my pets, or others. I feel like an idiot just standing there. My pets do a good job, but I want to be involved. Loaner trips to Endor and Doth were fun, but it gets old. You get your waypoints and you go there and find what you need consistantly, and go home. Where I craft infront of my spectacualr machine, alone. When I go out with a group, I gain nothing. I get no XP, totally maxed on everything, money doesn't really mater, so mostly I just waste my good pet stims.
Seraphym I love that they make you covert, when you get scanned, I think that makes it cooler to be a Rebel, I love living in fear in games it makes it so much more interesting, in fact I miss the At-St's everywhere that was so much more fun when they were around. It's just that I can't defend myself, and Pets are useless in PVP.

All those, and the other little minor annoyances like pet checks aside, I'll hate to see you go; even if we have often disagreed here it has been with intelligent arguments and opinions based on reason and experience, and you've provided some excellent help and great lines of questioning for all of us to pursue. I think you'll miss it as well; there simply is nothing else in game as complex and fascinating, despite the problems, and you have been in the thick of it for long enough that you'll find the rest a refreshing change for a while, but pretty hollow in comparison after it is said and done.

Thanks, although I must say, I was half tempted to go through and give you points.
but decided your score would have been off the charts (the good way, not the "ken u mke me A rekar wit 900+dgm?" way lol, so it wouldn't have been very funny.
well I am a casual player so it will take me a while to get high enough in fencer for me to have to drop BE skills, so I will drop by from time to time, it just won't be my focus anymore. Who knows, maybe they will add flying mounts and or 8 Nargalatch Bobsled teams, or DNA storage (HA HA)..... and maybe change my mind.
Sorry to those on Gorath, I am leaning toward the Bazar flood of high end pets, but don't worry, I will only put one or two out a day, so some jerk doesn't buy em all and get rich off em.

Arthur my friend you are just a pawn in the Emperor's game of evil. Maybe some day he will visit your zoo.
Being a rebel was fine when it meant running a few errands or shooting some imperials with my CDEF for a bit of fun but one day I was out shopping for supplies and in a semi afk way (oops) and in the middle of nowhere someone had placed a base - this was nowhere near any cities or POIs, just slap bang in the middle of no-where - I know where the imp cities are and I dont go there, but it has covert scanners and in the space of 4 seconds I was turned overt and shot down by an automated turret - which was fun.
So I decided to resign.
Its not just the Stormtroopers that are the problem, covert scanners can be put pretty much anywhere so it affects any faction. I think the concept of only PvPing when you choose to is totally gone.
If you are in a faction you have to be prepared to PvP 100% of the time - just in case.

ah, see, that's the common misconception. People often underestimate the power of the Imperial tailor has in the GCW. Some day I'll be running the show. Imperial General/scientist/tailor, that's my biggest aspiration in the game, rofl.

But without a Death Star? C'mon
Speaking of which, I hope they some day have a Death Star In space to go visit fight around, fight through, etc.

I agree 100%. Half a box from Master Rifleman, which isn't listed in my .sig file and won't be for obvious reasons. I joined when I *was* ready to defend my city and myself all the time. I have a large client base of Imperial customers that are sure their credits don't have faction but if one of them ganks me unfairly or attacks the city I live in, they get perma-house banned. Trust me, I don't go back to my ban list and change it. The few of my Imperial clients that know I am a rebel condone my status by continuing to give me their credits and they are just as lawless as I am for doing so.
