Hello Fellow BE's

Well if you read the title you know what this is gonna be about. I'm sorry if this is gonna come off as a whiny post, but i have no where to vent and no one to really understand what i go through.

I have become rather frustrated lately with alot of people that request a certain pet. A CL70 Kimogila or any other pet but CL70 is the key here. Anybody that knows me on intrepid or has been a customer of mine knows i bend over backwards to do custom orders.

So here is the situation ( which if you take this one and multiply that by 300 you can see why i'm frustrated) I attended a party on intrepid last night for the wookie cultural center( awesome party), Everyone there was brining out there pets to show off, so i decided to bring out my CL70 kimo. Everyone was going nuts over him. "nice stats" "what dna did you use" etc etc etc, the kimo became a good ice breaker and i had a chance to answer alot of questions people had towards BE pets

But that all got shot to hell when someone asked me, "how much do you sell those for?" and i said 600k. All i got was" you got to be crazy 600k for that "

No harm done right everyone is entitled to their own opinion, i wouldnt in my right mind pay 1+ million for a krayt enhanced weapon, but whatever. What really got under my skin is this jackass is gonna stand there and tell me how easy it is to get dna, especially off a mutant rancor( the kimo was made with 4 mutant rancor samples and one rancor youth sample) This guys isnt even a BE, trying to tell me that he could take out a whole pack of mutant rancors no problem, and if i have pets they should be able to wipe out that rancor if i get attacked.

So very calmly i tell this person "i have no weapon skills" "being a master BE and a master ch, plus dabbling in merchant to have vendors, left me with no option but to dump all my carbine skills" I even started to go into the whole process of dna sampling, and i still get " that gives you no right to charge that much" .

Now i dont get urked that easily, i have many many customers that buy from me every week, but once in awhile when i get someone completely clueless as what we BE's do, and i go out of my way to explain, i get the "you charge way too much" "what gives you the right to do that" line of crap

I just hate people like that, and if it werent for the thousands, thats right thousands of sales i have had in the last month i would just shut down my two shops and my upcoming mall in theed and never look back. I truly go out of my way to help people ask anyone that knows me. BIOGen stands for quality and customer care/ satisfaction.

F.Y.I. if the person that attended that party is reading this, it took me over a week to get those 5 samples for that cl70 kimo, almost 4-6 hour gaming sessions a night for 1 week, so now u tell me 600k too much?

My apologies once again to the BE community, i just needed to vent

All depends, I have no problem getting aholw bag full of mutant rancor DNA in a night, but it did take me weeks to learn how to do so and where to do so. So personally I charge 100-150k for a pet with that DNA.

Doesn't matter though, the guy is an idiot, you have every right to charge whatever you want to. If enough people buy them at your price then you've shown yourself justified that many people think it is worth it.

my prices is determine by the stat of the creature, also i have quit making pets till this patch

There are already a few threads about sampling high level critters.

Try doing an Advanced search on subject keyword "sampling" and you should find a lot of info (even macros that may help!)

200k is about tops for me, with that dna guessing 45 kin,65 elec100 to cold heat elec, 23 to rest, something around there, 12k ham 1.98 .67 590-600

unless want a lvl 28 with light armor, or some insane stats that have to resample, already too many datapads full trying to sell to, with out holding out for 500k plus for pets, just my opinion

I do lvl 65-70 for 145k if just a kinetic only tank, 200k if takes a bit, most have no problems with it

my pricing scheme is

3 creds per ham point

25k for armor

5k per special

the only exception to that is the cl70 for 600k based off the diffuculty of getting mutant rancor dna

hehe I'm charging alot for whatever I'm making generally around 60k a pet.

it depends on the ease of the process.

I finally made a lvl 10 dewback with 5k health 2k actioin 2k mind dizzy/intimidate with range

I wanted to sell it for 100k but that seems too pricy, but that pet took me a long time to make. The process is long and tedious. Sure I can make high ham lvl 10s with certain specials with ease, but I like trying to put range in it too and it all goes to hell after that.(I just kept it for myself)

It's not that samples are hard to get. But the fact that I don't have room to store samples.

I can make a high resist high level Kimo, not really great specials and just pawn that off, but I'm a BE I want a pet that I can and will use and be proud of. I was Once a MCH and still am at heart.

So pricing will have to be whatever you feel like pricing.

Some of the pets people ask for takes awhile to make.

Last night, I spent over 4-8hrs trying to come up with a lvl 10 with high ham strong poison/intimidate and range. Never made one. Got a lot of lvl 11-15 ones though

So screw whoever said it was easy heh.

That's my opinion. BE isn't as easy to MASTER
