There are undoubtedly people who can trash Mutant Rancor's easily (I used to be one of them), but why is that important to what you price your pet's for? Dead animals give no DNA samples, maybe the guy was too clueless to know that.

I might spend 600K as a Master CH, if I thought what I was buying was worth it. Same with spending a Mil for weapons or armor. If the guy doesn't think it's worth it, then he shouldn't buy it, and he shouldn't complain about it.

It will never cease to amaze me, when people whine about the prices of totally optional items in life. I can understand someone whineing about the price of a budget model Ford, but if your whineing about the price of a Ferrari, you need someone to come along and give you a swift smack upside the head.

Hmm, well, 600k is a lot lot lot more than I would charge, lol, but that's just me, and no matter what you charge people are going to tell you it's too much so it's something we have to accept. When people start arguing, ranting, and bitching at me, I make liberal use of /addignore. My list unfortunately seems to gain another member on it every week or so now

When I was a Master Doc, there were always people who would say "Thats way too expensive for Stim D's" or some such line. In most cases I had a standard response:

"I realize that not everyone has mastered the game enough to be able to afford my products, but the fact of the matter is I cater to high-end clientelle who want the best of whatever is out there. You might consider it overpriced, but since I have trouble keeping the things in stock at this price, I would have to disagree."

Approach it in a business-like manner and explain it in a slightly condescending demeanor, like you would tell a 3 year old who doesn't understand how business works. And then don't argue with them any more.

In the end it is business, and that means what value can I get for my work, on both the buyer and seller side. Don't let people bully you into selling your time for peanuts. It's already fake money as it is....

lol um people have been eating up my CL10's for like 40k a pop. Word of advice on mutant rancors. DONT SAMPLE THEM. I've been sampling Frienzied grauls a hella lot easier and with nicer stats and a lower level(CL44-58 depending on template used and quality) Light armor ... 10-12k ham .... 60% Kinetic and nicer others... 500-600 damage. Mutant rancors aren't all that great and hard as hell to sample.

People will complain because they can because it's a part of them not beign liable for their actions. I used to have a macro saying "Many Pets on Vendor near Theed from Non CH up to Master". No one seemed to have a problem with it even though the Non CH tend to sell to fast for me to keep up with. Well I had all but two normal Carrion Spat deeds left because of buyers the hour earlier. As I go to my Vendor to add some higher level pets the guy complains. "Came all this way and just two Carrion Spats". First off it wasn't a lie because I did still have Non CH there after all. Also it was barely over a Kilometer on his speeder. Guess it is an important part of owning a business. You have to take the good with the bad. The good part is the credits you make and the joy the buyers have for making the purchase. The best sign to me is return buyers and when they recommend my vendor to their friends.

You can always find someone to buy anything for what you want to sell it for. But theres always the cheapskates that want everything free. I mean there is a line between flat out ripping people off ... and doing good buisiness. BE's are able to charge a little more because it takes work to do what we do. I mean where else are you going to get non-ch pets that are awesome OR lower lvl pets that can cream their predecesors. Some people are just jerks and fail to understand anything or anyone until they step into their shoes. Give them a swift kick in the nutz and tellem to f-off is what I say. Thoes are the people that will sponge offa friends or beg other players for help.

Every once in a while, a CH complians that my pets are more than he can afford...

I say... NP, I can tell you meats I will pay 10 and 20 cpu for plus mission payoffs, he'll have it in a couple hours, any pet I have. One guy in a hundred will do it. They are broke now and they will be broke tomorrow. The ones that have money, always have money.

As a CH my answer would be just "Gee nice, out of my price range" and leave it at that.

For me, it would only be a conversation piece. I have no need to do missions in 30 seconds just to collect credits; there's nothing to do with credits after a while anyway. But that's why the prices keep going up like crazy; meat's tripled in price since I started playing.

Problem to me might only be the newbie just starting. It's costing them a fortune to run up their skills, BE included.

If you are a CH and have no cash you are simply not trying. Most of my guilds doctors and chefs and BE pay big big big bucks for specific materials of hide bones and meat. Ask them what they need and what they are looking for. Then in the course of your normal play doing the stuff you normally do just keep an eye out for those reosources. Doing this you will never have to worry about cash or doing missions infact if you hunt animals alot you will be fricking rich in no time.

My droid engineer typically runs around with about 1 mil in the bank as a dedicated crafter. My BE/Ch who has not really been selling any pets yet as I am skilling up has well over 2 mil in the bank just grabbing meat/hide for people who are making requests for it.

If a CH is to lazy to harvest their kills and is unwilling to ever sell resources to folks then yes you will be broke and you will not be able to afford anything and there really is nothing anybody can do to help you.
