Thread: your charging how much for that pet? You got to be kidding DNA sampling isnt that hard
When I was a Master Doc, there were always people who would say "Thats way too expensive for Stim D's" or some such line. In most cases I had a standard response:
"I realize that not everyone has mastered the game enough to be able to afford my products, but the fact of the matter is I cater to high-end clientelle who want the best of whatever is out there. You might consider it overpriced, but since I have trouble keeping the things in stock at this price, I would have to disagree."
Approach it in a business-like manner and explain it in a slightly condescending demeanor, like you would tell a 3 year old who doesn't understand how business works. And then don't argue with them any more.
In the end it is business, and that means what value can I get for my work, on both the buyer and seller side. Don't let people bully you into selling your time for peanuts. It's already fake money as it is....
You can always find someone to buy anything for what you want to sell it for. But theres always the cheapskates that want everything free. I mean there is a line between flat out ripping people off ... and doing good buisiness. BE's are able to charge a little more because it takes work to do what we do. I mean where else are you going to get non-ch pets that are awesome OR lower lvl pets that can cream their predecesors. Some people are just jerks and fail to understand anything or anyone until they step into their shoes. Give them a swift kick in the nutz and tellem to f-off is what I say. Thoes are the people that will sponge offa friends or beg other players for help.

Every once in a while, a CH complians that my pets are more than he can afford...
I say... NP, I can tell you meats I will pay 10 and 20 cpu for plus mission payoffs, he'll have it in a couple hours, any pet I have. One guy in a hundred will do it. They are broke now and they will be broke tomorrow. The ones that have money, always have money.
As a CH my answer would be just "Gee nice, out of my price range" and leave it at that.
For me, it would only be a conversation piece. I have no need to do missions in 30 seconds just to collect credits; there's nothing to do with credits after a while anyway. But that's why the prices keep going up like crazy; meat's tripled in price since I started playing.
Problem to me might only be the newbie just starting. It's costing them a fortune to run up their skills, BE included.
My droid engineer typically runs around with about 1 mil in the bank as a dedicated crafter. My BE/Ch who has not really been selling any pets yet as I am skilling up has well over 2 mil in the bank just grabbing meat/hide for people who are making requests for it.
If a CH is to lazy to harvest their kills and is unwilling to ever sell resources to folks then yes you will be broke and you will not be able to afford anything and there really is nothing anybody can do to help you.
