Thread: Is another 100k added to the price going to make the creatures start spawning?

This is just a rant.

I'm getting tired of the people saying:

"I'll give you 50k to make the pet for me right now!"

I don't respond, but it gets to me when someone does that....I'm out sampling grauls, which aren't the easiest to find, and people think an extra 50-100k added to the price will make the frenzied grauls start spawning....

shrug

I know what you mean. Everyone wants super pets and they want them RIGHT now, ASAP. They dont realize the time and effort that it takes to create them or the time spent just looking for the right spawns to sample from. I'm basically at the point where I will no longer take special orders because I'm tired of people asking every 15 minutes if their pet is ready yet. I just make what I enjoy making and if someone is looking for a pet, I will offer what I have or just put them on my vendor for first come first serve. As it is, I may create 3 maaaaaybe 4 high quality pets in an evening and have at least20or more requests for pets in the same time span.

I have yet to make anything I am happy with. Have not gotten ham and damge to be what was meaking pre patch for the level. But yes. I am almost ready to say heck with the clone syste, . It harder then should be for the effort involved. People wnat there uber pets and they hear all the non ch pets with 7k ham and such. I spend a weak working one order for 3 cats, I get them done, he not happy cause the resist arn't up but I got him 2 of a 3 cat set with armor.

I don't have time to sample alll these things people posting about and when I do, I do not get the results. When I can make pets that are level 50 with 12k ham 670 damage or level 30 with 10k ham and 330 damage that be fine for me. I have yet to get a sample from muntant rancor so making cl 70 is not going to happen. Besides, what is posted still not have the damage and ham that to me a CL70 should. Made a kemo with15k ham latley with 700 damage? That what I am asked to make. I think it time to get into the tissue market.

I get so many tells asking for pets I stay /afk 100% of the time . Many offer more cash, like an extra 100k, thinking it will help lol

I still get the requests for outragous pets with low cl but they are getting less everyday. Before too long, everybody should be aware of how the BE profession works enough to stop bothering us.

I too don't take any special orders at all. I just make whatever I feel like making. I put them on my vendor when I get to many in inv. It is much more fun for me to just make what i want instead of being pressured for cash I no longer need.

My afk message says email me if you need to talk to me and I always respond via email but I rarely respond to a /tell. i suggest you do the same.

Soon I will no longer even stock the vendor. I will free up those skill points and use them somewhere else. I'll just make pets for fun and sell them to my best customers/friends in person. The "running a store" business is more of a burden on me now. Maybe I sell my very popular store to an up and coming BE

Ya know whats even funnier, ask people what kinda pets they want and 99% of the time they say high HAM low cl, but what i do i when people ask i just give them all the clones i have with me and they select which ones, and if there to picky i tell them to F off

Well they let the Wookiee win

#1 way to tell if the person on the other end of the tell is a non ch:

q) can you make me BEKimo with 10k Ham, light armor and 100% resistance at cl 10?

I sympathise with those of you who are being swamped with unreasonable requests.

I took the time to ask a master BE what was possible, and I went out with him to track and/or get missions forsome of the creatures he needed to make pets, as a result of which I now own five very nice BE pets, and know much more about how the new BE clone system works.

Greetings,

I’ve found that the best way to deal with a “can you make me an uber pet” request is to just tell them the truth - which is often long winded and terribly boring. I’ve found that many players simply don’t know what we have to do to make those pets, and if you just take the time to explain it to them calmly, most will listen and (gasp) understand. Don’t just say, “It takes a long time to make a pet,” tell them, “I’ve spent the last three hours wandering around Dantooine looking for a Frenzied Graul. Assuming I find one before the server shuts down for the morning, I should be able to get enough DNA to make a single good pet. But I might not find one at all, meaning it’s all been a wash. I have to do this or something similar for every pet I make.” It helps when you put things into terms than can sorta relate to, especially if they’ve never been a crafter.

I've had a lot better time 'hunting' than I thought I would - unlike some posters above - I LIKE being a homebody and runnin my store.

At least right now, while they still need them - I've had no end of offers from folks that will go out and hunt with me.

I just wish I knew some kind of guidelines for what 'normal' is. I've gotten what look like some pretty decent lower level pets - but nothing like I've seen posted here. I just have no idea where the line crosses from pretty good pet to - OMG , you made WHAT????

I don't take 'orders' - but if they email me with specs, I'll see what I can do. So far I've not filled anyone's request exactly - but gotten close enough most have been happy with what I came up with and purchased.

Having an end goal in mind has helped a bit trying to figure the system out - not that I still know what I'm doing yet, but I work more intuitively than 'by the numbers' and it's starting to kinda sorta make a little sense, one bright happy afternoon it should all 'click'.

OMG! You must be the ideal customer! Pls make a char on Eclipse and educate the masses - because I've certainly gotten very tired trying...

i just put ex-BE in my sig and remove my vendor from it. i no longer sell, but still dabble a bit. i mainly did this to make a nice duo or trio for my CH char. i just couldn't stand the prices other BE were selling for. now, after being in their shoes i see why. too low prices and you'll always have to restock. too high, well, doesn't really matter they'll still buy.

either way i'm holding off on really quitting Master BE until after the fixes. then i'll start re-making myself some nice pets and then drop it.

now i've finally reached master, i don't wear the title that often..kinda masochistic. the horror of getting so many tells (i frequent major cities) asking for non ch kimos, non ch rancors, and the occasional job i do the guy will ask every 3 minutes if its done. my biography - "i do take special orders. expect it to be done in a day or two, three at max. factory produced animals aren't possible, so prices will be high. 75k+, with few exeptions." i need to make a macro explaining everything to people. still fun though

I wear the tag, and sell plenty of pets. No monsters yet but i can go sample mereks all day and pop out ar1 40% kinetic pets with strong poison and CL34 at 4-5 a day. And those are plenty nice pets if ya don't mind energy vulnerabilities.

Trying to get mutant rancor samples now, but I only end up with 1 sample and clearing out the whole cave, or some tka or commando shows up and kils them all in 5 minutes. Is there such a thing as +dna sampling clothes?I haven't looked into that side of BE much.
