Thread: Pet Stim C's.....expensive?
Unlike insect meat, I got to harvest around a million units of a pretty good talusian fungus.
Someday the devs will wake up and realize large quantities of creature harvests are impossible to obtain. Even offering 15 to 20 credits a unit, you will never be able to acquire as much insect meat as you can using your lots for flora harvesters (and they just recently UPPED extraction rates from 10 to 13).
Maybe it's just me but shouldn't resources that are specifically required by a given schematic have minimum qualities? Kinda dumb to make a petstim C that is outperformed by a novice petstim-a due to only horrible materials being available.
Maybe that's one for the /bug bin.

I still don't understand pricing. Somebody came into my shop the other day and said I was charging too much for pet stims. My vendor has a number of stims on it, 29 charges, 718 power. I'm charging 2085 each. That 2.9 * 718.
I had to remind the visitor that 2085 for 29 chargesis 71 credits per heal. If they took their pet to the med center and had a doctor heal them, they'd be tipping the doctor more than 71 credits -- probaby in the 2-3 hundred credit range, if not more. 2085 credits for a 29/718 pet stim seems perfectly reasonable to me.

That's pretty much what medics use for stim pricing. I've been going heal*charge*/13 same as Sumorex because I think with the extra resources and mind heal it's worth the little extra. I still have a hard time keeping up. I finally decided last night it's time to buy another factory.
A's: heal*use/10
B's: heal*use/8
C's: heal*use/6.5
D's: heal*use/5
Using this my typical prices are:
A's: 29*709/10~= 2000 cr
B's: 30*932/8~= 3500 cr
C's: 30*1201/6.5~= 5500 cr
D's: 34*1648/5~= 10000 cr
I also give discounts for buying in bulk (approx. 10%)
How are you getting results that high? I'm guessing you're either a doctor, or buy your medical components from a doctor? I should start doing that. I've been making my own medical components, hence my C's aren' much better than your A's. Sad. Very sad. This is the first time I've really had a comparison of what the numbers could look like.
Fichesi, check out this thread...scroll down until you come to my very long post. I broke down the effects and economics of Advanced vs Regular medical components and you'll also find my conclusions on the 1to1 ratios showing the enormous benefit from using Master Doctor crafted components.

How much should I sell each Pet Stim C I make?
Currently I make them with about 26 charges, and they heal for 945 (but thats without the best resources).

Charges * Heal * 0.13
But I might get that extra bit from mine because typically they're mid30's on charges and 1100ish heal. I use all advanced components and alot of old resources (or high quality new resources.. which in turn become old resources /chuckle).
Going thru some horrible shifts on dath insect meat and i don't bother crafting C's when the meat is this bad (OQ50, OQ60) as my B's are almost as good (mid 30 charges, 800 heal).
