So what will you do when your Holocron booms at you "Master Bounty Hunter" if you were the Correspondent for a class?

I was just thinking about that while hunting on Dantooine.

What does this have to do with Bio-Engineering?

Confused,

Okie maybe I wasn't clear /chuckle

You become the BE Correspondent... then your holocron instructs you to become a mutually exclusive Master in another profession... so the game would be guiding you to drop the profession you are the Correspondent of.

Not specifically BE related, but this is my profession board, and I thought it was an interesting observation.

Or if you prefer I could ask you any of the following:

  • how much do u sell stimz 4?

  • I just made Master, why do my Rancors suck?

  • whats the fastest way to become a Master?

Heck can even expand this outward beyond the Correspondent program. How many of you would drop Bio Engineering to follow the holocron's urging? I figure I'll find my first Holocron around the time the new cloning system goes live. So it'll only figure I waited 6months for a working profession, only to surrender it try to unlock my FSS.

I guess I must have missed some recent news. When did Holocron's start telling us what to master? Is it related to FS? I feel like I've stepped into the Jedi boards. Doh!

Holocrons tell us the next profession (nobody knows how many you need to do) you have to master.

Some of the more limited Correspondents wanna know what's up w/ this as well... I only have to keep Master Medic, so doesn't matter to me... But, high point professions, this becomes an issue.

Nobody knows....

Yeah was a recent development... last week or so?

You get a Jedi Holocron (or Sith Holocron) and you use it off the radial menu.. It gives you a hint (What to Master) to get closer to unlocking your force sensitive slot.

Traig, there are combos you couldn't keep even Master Medic as... lets say Bounty Hunter

That's what I get for not playing for a few days and not checking the Jedi boards often enough. Doh!

Thanks for the explanations,

I won't go into the correspondent thing because I'm sorry I ever put my name in for it...lol..i hope i'm never offered because I'd turn it down in a heartbeat. Have you see the whippin' they have to take?

But...supposing my long-awaited fixes came in...what I've been waiting MONTHS for...what i gave up one character's BE for so she wouldn't get too disgusted and frustrated...what i brought my other equally played character too..

sigh..I'd give it up, of course...I can always get it back later. Only this time I wouldnt' be able to make sure I got DNA 4 before the patch went in

*cries over the high quality kimogilla DNA that disappeared from her vendor's stock room**

It took me from June to two weeks ago to make Master BE by playing a lot and crafting steadily. Being a Master BE is something I worked very hard to be and is not something I would give up without a fight. Compounding that is my dislike of the whole 'random profession from a holocron' thing... forcing players to drop what they pay 15 bucks a month to enjoy to train in skills they very likely do not have any interest in learning? Lame.

I can cheat.. I have 2 accts.

I could pass resources to another character and have anoher master fast... medic XP is fast fast fast... it's the crafting that'll hurt you.... medic isn't so bad (compared to many others) it is a starting profession.

Besides that though, Correspondents get free XP in their profession on TC, so the BE correspondent would have a master BE on test... Some of the correspondents have their mains actually on Test...

There is no rule that a Correspondant has to be a master, that I have seen anyplace. Though, you'd probably get more resperct from your community.

The part that makes me laugh, is that the devs were wondering "Why haven't we seen a jedi yet?" The answer is that the average BH doesn't drop his profession to become a tailor for the hell of it. Forget 7 other professions guessing what profession you might need.

Weird.

I'm afriad you couldn't cheat like that - holocrons are not tradable. If a little cube says you must become a Master Chef, it means YOU, not the guy on the other account .

Right, but I can make my other guy my Master medic for the duration.. then switch my main back to medic when I get the slot unlocked.

Thought the holocrons before being used were tradable?

I've got 2 accts also, so my plan was to unlock it on the Merchant account first... but if they aren't tradable before use there goes that plan LOL.
