Hey everyone,

Ive been making BE stuff for awhile now, but ive never used adv med components, ive read that they have no effect on Bio Eng items? is this true, or do adv med components boost the stats on bio eng items like stims and vit packs?

Thanks

Adv components have no affect on Vitality packs, but have a huge affect on Pet Stims.

Yep what Wolf says, hehe. I use normal for Vitpacks, Adv for the stims.

They are for sure needed to make really great Pet Stims. Even the lowest quality Adv Components are better than the best quality regulars. Always use Adv in Pet Stims when possible. It will make a huge difference.

I've been leaving out the ACRDM's but using the other 2 advanced components. Get around 35/700'ish B's without em (current batch was 35/728) which I find acceptable. Save's me the hassle of gathering all that Herb meat. I add them back inwhen the quality and location of the meatshift favorably though (I generally gather 90-100% of my own resources--probably why I burned out a bit and have stopped harvesting and making stims for a while =P)

How much of a difference is it though to only use 1 adv component, ex: Adv Liquid Suspension, instead of 2? is it worth the effort?

Second or third post down in that stickied thread has some analysis of advanced vs normal medical subcomponents.

Adv LS simply adds around an extra 100 points to the heal, which frankly isn't worth it in my opinion. You'll see alot better results from just using an adv. BEC as the charges in a typical petstim B go from around 19 to 35 which is almost double for the cost of a single component.

I use advanced everything now and make the best. Then I charge a ton. and they all sell.

Its in my post linked above, but I have disagree with you Tal-N. 100pts from an Advanced LS is just plain HUGE when applied pet stims. A pet stim B gets around a 15% increase to power, a C gets a 10% increase to power, and a D gets an 8% increase. For the resource investment to make an AdvLS its a super addition to your pet stims. I will agree that an AdvBEC is more important than an AdvLS, but just because it adds charges. I couple both in every single pet stim I make (advLS + advBEC) while using regular CRDM's in most B's and advCRDM's in most C/D's.

100pts on a pet stim is just a huge increase and sets your product apart.

Wow, this was a great post. I never saw the original Talthazar post on the components breakdown on stims and how the components influenced charges & power.

Thanks!
