Thread: Update
I know no devs even read these forums, but here I go.
I think its time for an update with the jedi faq, or even a notice on the new things required for jedis cause I know that they have been working on this.
And if there is'nt anything new, can we at least have a hint on how things are going with this, and if its even implented.
Sorry I missed teh weekly repiort on Friday. Real life and all.
Well,
Don't worry, unless there have been stealth fixes I haven't seen any changes to our profession. Oh well, I'm always optimistic for the future. ![]()
I have been told now by several different red colored names that the state of Droids is now the largest concern the devs have after this next big release.
The issue, as stated by our DEV is that droids touch alot of areas behind the scenes and the fixes (not all of them) will takemajor attention. Thus alot of time to fix and code.
I WISH I could tell you everything the DEVs told me but alas we are in concept phase. I will be working with our DEV closely to iron out some ideas to enhance our profession. Once these ideas are ironed out, they will be presented to you all here for feedback. In other words no decisions will be made without you all.
I will say, I love some of the prospective ideas. Some of which if implimented would make us a flavor of the week. Sorry to tease you all. Please just hang in there.
I know I know ... still nothing tangible to bite on. But I will see what I can do to get some thing solidified and get some posts going here on the board. This will take time though. Probably several weeks ![]()
Oh and this does not count bug fixes, which will be done seperately.
So there you have it -- the DEVs know were we are as a profession... they know we need love .. and they will be working with us in the future.
Well... this is better than nothing.
I was talking with a friend of mine on Wanderhome, and just letting them know some of the problems associated with droids. Her response was a good one: "Would you rather them fix it all really fast and screw stuff up?". My response to that was: "No, but I'd like to see at least slow and steady progression".
DE's have had... well, nothing. It looks as if we'll finally start to get attention... slow and steady wins the race yah know. ![]()
WOOOT!!!!!! I knew we'd be having some Droidekas before the end of December
I cant wait
WOOT WOOOT WOOOT!
Sintrosi,
Since I know that you'd never do anything but 'deal straight' with us, this is incredibly encouraging news.
I hope that you're soon allowed to talk about the fixes that will be forthcoming (since I know that enhancements/additions will take longer to bring to us).
I would suggest to the Devs that you be allowed to discuss the state of one or two priority fixes as a way to let us discuss how best to develop/implement said fix.
Keep up the good work!! It's likely appreciated more than you'll ever know...

Respectfully,
Sintrosi,
This is great news especially coming from you I feel so much better now knowing that you got a response from the Devs and that they are working something out. I feel kind of jealous that you get to have discussions with the Dev in regards to our profession but I have EVERY confidence in that you know what our profession needs/wants.
Keep of the great work!
