Thread: Shellfish: Any good for you Bio Engineers?
Well, to give you an idea of how I value it, I'm going to be selling mimetic tissues at double the price of tissues that require "regular" meat. That is to say, I'm adding 60k to the price of a crate of mimetic tissues, which is 2.4k/tissue or 166cr for each unit of mollusk. That is not to say that I would pay that much for mollusk necessarily, but that is how I am valuing it. My justification is obviously that to get the 375 mollusk that it would take to make that crate, it would take me a couple of hours of collecting it. In that same time I could have gotten several k of meat, run a bunch of missions, danced a jig, or whatever, lol.
So yes, BE's do need stacks of mollusk, and to be of any use, the stacks should be large (375 to make a crate as I mentioned). Since getting mollusk now is roughly like getting fish, I doubt you'll have much competition if you decide to harvest it. So charge what you think your time is worth, and I'll bet you'll have no trouble selling it.

Well the new tool allows us to pull it up. How much value is it to you all and should i bother pulling up alot of it?

Yeah i got 1.5 k of it now and 1k of crab meat. I was thinking im probably the only one on eclipse actually pulling this stuff up at the rate i am. So im thinking of starting the auction at 50-75 CPU and letting the bio engs take it from there.
It does take awhile to pull it up.
And does the quality really matter for these?
It certainly does. 33% OQ, 33% PE, 33% fla as I recall.

Please let us know if u manage to sell it at these rates. Thx.
Well people are paying 120 CPU for avian meat and thats easier to get. Its not like im selling 100k of it. Its just 1.5k. If the stuff stacked on top of each other than i would charge less. But it doesnt so you have to stand in the water for hours to pull this up while manually placing it in stacks.
